fountain
Thanks everybody! I have a question about the bridges that can be used as shelters; any screenshots of zoos that use that? I did not notice where that was being used.
fountain
Here is the elephant exhibit using the bridge shelters. I guess it looks OK and the elevation needed for aesthetics does not upset the elephants. I did put bridge shelter on both sides & keepers advice is "There are more shelters than necessary in this exhibit." More to come when I figure it out. fountain
I am moving the NZ sea lions to another section. I took pity on tired toddlers who just want to see Christmas stuff so I put some on the lowest level and removed the Coca cola bears. Grevy's zebra and Hawaiian Black Ram Bears, beaver, and yummy people food Firefoxes/lesser panda and North China Leopard and Asian Black Bears and Snow Leopard Rotated to overlook from the Snow Leopard exhibit to the Amur Leopard & back onto Amur/Siberian Tiger I recently read that Caspian Tigers & Amur Tigers are genetically identical, so Amur Tigers may be reintroduced? to the Caspian area. fountain
Thank you Firehawk and everyone else! I do just planters for decor in the "outer reaches" of the zoo and Christmas lights closer to buildings and central areas where electricity and maintenance is easier (in real life). More pix... Maned wolf, jabriu (sp), magpie goose and more to come..
(Admin)Savannahjan
It's so amazing, you are very creative fountain. Could you please tell me about the building on the left side of the picture under 'Bears, beaver and yummy people food'? I don't remember seeing that building before. fountain
There is a bear house http://www.ztcdd.org/DG/index.php?topic=3733.0 by toodlepops and a small bear house http://www.ztcdd.org/DD/index.php?topic=5350.0 by Toodlepop. Smaller is 5x5 and holds 8 guests. Larger is 4x6 and hold 10 and it has a "cage" with bear in the back. I used the smaller one. I think this is one of my most beautiful zoos with the planters and lamps and observation areas. The access roads are not that great in the layout. I think the exhibits look pretty good with the blending and transitions looking better overall. Here are a more additions: Over view of Eurasian animals Amurs, etc. Amur leopard LL, Amur Tiger UR, Yak UL Clockwise is Wild Boar, Musk Ox (goat), Yak, Thylacine, Bear Rotated to see Thylacine and Yak terrain better Humbolt Penguin and Tuna aquarium I decorated the one stairs/elevator area More rainforest and birds to come soon.
