I would like to post some screenshots. Would like to get feedback on what's good and bad/should be changed. Could somebody explain how to do this step by step...I am not computer literate...

Thanks!

Easy~!

First, click on the Add Reply button. Or, if you're start your own screenshots thread, go to the appropriate forum (such as ZT1 Screenshots) and click on the New Topic button towards the top right of the area.

Next, type something in the window. It can be a smiley or a description of what you're posting, it doesn't matter, as long as something is in the text area.

Click on the Browse button there under the text area on the right. It will allow you to choose something from your computer to upload. If you're looking for your ZT1 screenshots, you'll want to look in Local Disc [C:] -> Program Files -> Microsoft Games -> Zoo Tycoon -> Screenshots.

Select the item you want to post and click open. The box to the left of the Browse button will now have some text in it. Click on the UPLOAD button, then wait whilst your computer uploads it to the forum. When it's down, the Browse button will appear again. At this point you can add your screen to a specific place in your post by clicking in the message area where you want it to be, then on the Managge Current Attachments button, then clicking on the image you want added. It will add some text. If you skip this step, your image will automatically be added to the bottom of the post.

You can repeat, adding multiple images to the same post if you like. When you're done, scroll down and click on the Add Reply button, which is under the Post Icons in the middle of the page.

Easy enough? ^__^

Hey Genkicoll!

I have a problem. It's been a while since I uploaded any screenshots and I've installed and uninstalled Zoo Tycoon multiple times due to computer complications. End result, I did as you said and there was no Screenshots folder. I looked through all of my other folders and through all of my other files and there was nothing. Should I just make a new Screenshots folder and take some screenshots or am I just screwed?

Thanks for the guidance, other than the lack of necessary folder. :risitas6ba0:

I believe when you take your first screenshot, the game creates a screenshot folder for you. And unfortunately if you uninstalled the game and did not move your screenshot folder onto your desktop first, they were all deleted.

Thanks!

The only screenshot I had on there was two of a secretary bird aviary and a caracal enclosure. Those caracals drive me nuts. They had 99% suitability and they had like 60% happiness. Oh well, I'll just start a new folder then.

UPDATE:

It didn't work. I took a screenshot and it said: "Saved to Screenshots as screenshot06.jpg" whatever, but I checked the files and the folder still wasn't there. Look's like I'll have to reinstall. Or can I create a screenshot folder?

If you took a shot and it was #06, then you should have 5 others already in the folder. Are you looking in computer/program files/microsoft games/zoo tycoon? Are you sure there is not a folder in the main Zt directory named "screenshots"?

Where it is might depend on what version of Windows you are using. So let us know and someone with that windows type can tell you where to look.

On the computer that I run Zoo Tycoon on, it runs Windows 7. And yes, I'm positive there was no folder. This is getting really weird.

Looking back on this I see you are talking about ZT2 unless I am wrong. Now I know that Zoo Tycoon Unleashed and Zoo Tycoon Wildlife have threads about comptability with Windows 7. I think they are labled some thing like "Doesn't ZT work in Windows 7" I have not read them but they might contain useful info and should be easy to find.

No, I am referring to Zoo Tycoon 1. And I will be sure to check out Zoo Tycoon Unleashed as soon as I get the chance. I'm probably gonna end up uninstalling to make more space for some of Jane's awesome new stuff. Technology just drives me up the wall sometimes. Thanks! :160:
