The Wonderfully Whacky Bi-Monthly Quickie-Zoo!!!!!
Begins Saturday, August 28 - runs til we're done! (~December)
Special Note: This will not replace any sort of ZOTM that Cricket & Gem may have going!!! (
Preliminary notes:
In Freeform Mode start the Small Excavation Zoo. Money does not matter so grab as much as you want. You may level the zoo or leave it as a hole. I know some of you are horrible in using elevation

Number of downloads: 0 - it's up to you - but there are points for good use of elevation!
This zoo has about 2000 squares total. There will be 9 sections - 8 exhibits, plus the Entry. So allow around 200 squares per exhibit (~400 for the last one). Does not have to be exact. This should give you plenty of room for the exhibit, pathways, scenery and buildings.
Every two weeks or so you will build one of these sections. The animal to be exhibited will be stated on a Saturday morning (EDT), and needs to be completed by the next day (Sunday night) at midnight your time or midnight my time - whichever is later. There may be one or two combo exhibits. If there are any Dinos or MM animals they won't be the big ones! Probably. Maybe.
Each exhibit area will be scored on suitability and other factors.
Anyone scoring 0 suitability will be forever ridiculed.
The theme for decoration and any buildings you use will be stated at the same time.
The theme could be related to the animal's biome/terrain, a holiday or something completely different.
Unless otherwise instructed:
Adopt one each Male & Female of each animal for that exhibit. Replace them as needed as the zoo progresses.
Except for the initial build - Run each section of the zoo for 3 months.
You may use
If you miss an exhibit you can still enter in upcoming ones.
Make-up the missed exhibit and send it later (say by the next build date) and it will still be scored for the overall Grande Finale Zoo - but remind me if you miss one! I can forget with the best of them!
I will try to keep up-to-date standings - we'll see how that goes. That way you can see how far ahead you are, or how far behind (and send Evil Vibes & Double Whammies to the leaders).
Scoring
Individual Exhibit Area - 201 points possible for each.
Exhibit Suitability 0-101 (the average if 2 or more species)
Exhibit Design - 25 points *** See below ***
Guest Viewing Area Design - 25 points *** See below ***
Decoration around the exhibit - 0-50 (there may also be special themes and requirements - read each section carefully!) Includes any buildings.
Overall Zoo
Totals from all previous zoo sections - 1-9. ~1700 points possible
Guest Happiness - 0-100
Variation & Use of Elevation in the overall design. 0-50 points.
I guess that's all there is to add to the scores - as the rest (awards, etc) will be pretty much the same!
Stop the zoo on Dec 25 of year 2.

The following Hacks are OK to use: (the rest are not - you won't need them anyways)
Super Hack - can anyone tell me EXACTLY what hacks are combined here?
Freeform Unlock
Research Hack - though almost anything you may need for this zoo can also be had using a naming cheat.
Super Fences
Loewenfraus Clean-up
Moving Hack (I like this one - you can pick up & move many of the buildings)
No Trash
Pixiggers Fountains In Water Hack
Naming Cheats are OK as well as the money cheat.
Keep these in mind.
Andrew Binder - animal houses
Charlie Peterson - All exhibit foliage
John Wheeler - All animal shelters
Lou Catanzaro - All animal toys
Steve Serafino - All endangered animal
Ron Propst - Unlock DD foliage.
Dinoman - Unlock DD animals.
Eggman - Accelerate egg hatching.
*** Exhibit Design Square 10x10 exhibits are boring and will not score as well as those with various shapes - be creative! Using a variety of foliage through the exhibit gets a higher score. Note that some animals may only accept one type of foliage (not including UCIs) while other have several you may choose from. The more natural the setting the higher the score.
*** Guest Viewing Area Design These are areas designed for guests to get a "closer look" at animals. They may be open or use Observation Areas. In some zoos guests never actually enter these areas - don't worry about that - it's just the design & decoration that gets scored. One viewing area per exhibit is fine. Can be "outside" or "inside" the exhibit.
Example of viewing areas: Here Or Here Or Here
***** Edit - Buildings in the area of an exhibit can COUNT as part of that exhibit's decorating theme. Some are obvious - Igloo Gift Shop for Penguins, Elephant Ride for an Elephant exhibit, or you can rename a building. For a Dino exhibit you could rename the Insect House as "Insects in Amber", Aviary as "Archeopteryx", etc. Same way with any UCI buildings.
Please try to name your zoo so I can recognize whose it is, and add the round number to it at the end.
YourTekNameZooNameRoundNumber.zoo - IPQuickie2.zoo
*** NEW EMAIL!!! Email your zoo to me at ZooTekPhoenix @ aol.com (remove spaces). Email any UCIs together in a zip file (ask if you are not sure how to do this) EXCEPT for the really big files & packs. Just make a list of them and a link to them in your email.
Dates for each section are approximate - but I will only change them if there's an emergency, or if I forgot I was supposed to be somewhere.
Any questions? Does anything need further explanation?
