(Trustee)genkicoll Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Before I start listing tips and such, here is a small zoo with a very basic layout: Small_BasicLayoutZoo_Empty.zip
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 When you open the zoo (or look at the picture above), you'll probably notice that the pathways do not actually touch the exhibit fences in 95% of the zoo. Even the most social of animals will feel crowded by 1000 guests meandering past their exhibit, and this extra tile will help keep them feeling at ease. The number one thing that contributes to a guest's happiness is seeing happy animals. That is why see the animals' exhibits visible from every which way the guests may happen to turn. The next thing to do is to make sure that the animals are happy, and you do this by making the exhibit suitability as high as possible! Make sure that there aren't too many animals in each exhibit, as this will make them unhappy faster than you can say, "Whoops!". I started by blocking off the bulk of the zoo and getting my marine area set. The show area is set up in a circular area so that either way the guests exit, they will be right by the restaurant. Guests completely ignore their needs in order to watch a show, so it's important that they have a place to fill these needs when they leave. To keep your show animals from getting upset, you need to be sure not to overwork them. This is managed in this zoo by having 2 show animals (dolphins and orcas) and having them both set to "infrequent" on their show schedules.
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 An overview of the now-completed zoo. I chose to use rainforest and highland exhibits, with one arctic exhibit. There are NO UCI's in this zoo. At the moment, there are 103 benefactors. Small_ZT_MM_No_UCIs.zip
Guest MsZooComplete Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Cool. I will have to try this concept with a Big Cat setup. I have elevated some of the viewing areas for my rainforest animals. Will post some screenshots soon!
Guest rebelladylove Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I love this set up! I am having a dickens of a time doing the aquatic show park scenario because i cant seem to make my guests happy enough! But i was wondering how to download the maps posted on this site?
pukkie Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 in post 1 click on the link with the words small vasic layout zoo empty and then save to your computer. Find the file on your pc (double) click to open. In there should be a file ending with: .zoo Copy that file then go to the mainfolder of zootycoon. (mostly the c drive on your pc then program files then microsoft games and then ZooTycoon ) In the main folder is a folder named Saved Games. the .zoo file goes in there the . ztd files go in the folder dlupdate in your main menu for ZooTycoon If you also use the files from post 3 You get the zoo completely as Genki made it
