Today I modeled a sandbag thinking to make a pile of them on a palette: But when I rendered it just looked like a pile of seal corpses so anyway that's not happening.
-
Looks like between the ZA Pile Pack, the RDingFT pack and these there will be lots of behind the scenes stuff. Rick did a crane way back too.
-
One is coming for this pack! Here's these palettes of random stuff that will be in the pack as well A feed silo: Also a tall shelf I haven't rendered yet. I'm honestly having trouble coming up with different ways that backstage can be stored for a zoo in a convincing way. Great ideas thank you! I'll see how I can integrate a few.

I like single and 2 storrey warehouses decor. Maybe forklift decor model, empty or holding pallets, and a lady in a hardhat with a clipboard or flat computer in hand for inventory. And a figure pointing or stop hand signals for safety and traffic control. Maybe a EV recharging station for electric carts used around the zoo. Themed zoos e.g., Western, Alien/Space, Ancient Cultures have things going on with modern conveniences guests do not see. Perhaps signs "Pirates Only" or "Santas Only" or "Witches Guild Only" or "Bee Keepers Only" or "Zoo Fairies Only" or "Pyro Techs Only" for special celebrations? I've been using the China? silk and tea and cabbage items to show unloaded foods, so modern items are nice behind the scenes with the already available Maintenance Shed and calendar signs.

I think there is a setting in the code for animals that determines how "attractive" ithey are, meaning how much the guests will enjoy seeing each animal. I took advantage of this feature to test if tour guides were really worth it. I used the wildebeest instead of the African lion because the guests didn't really care for the wildebeest. In contrast, they all love the lion! If you'd like to know, the tour guide did increase guest happiness when all the people had to gawk at was a lame undulate.

The guests favourite animal is chosen from all the animals in Zoo Tycoon so it could be any ingame animal or any user made animal. It seems random the way that is chosen. ZTUF used to do a birthday contest where you had a hour (or maybe 2) to make an exhibit for the first guests favourite animal. I remember restarting my zoo a couple of times cos I got something notoriously difficult. Exhibit Construction: Number of animals allowed per exhibit: 1-10 with 10 squares for each adult Exhibit size (for 2 adults): 20 grid squares Terrain (for exhibit with 20 grid squares): 13 Rainforest Floor, 2 Dirt, 4 Grass, 1 Fresh Water Foliage (for exhibit with 20 grid squares): 3 grid squares should contain foliage. Foliage that would give the most happiness: Foxtail Palm Tree Since this is a small plant, greatest happiness will occur if each of the 3 grid squares contains 4 of this plant. Rocks (for exhibit with 20 grid squares): 4 Small Rock, which is its most liked rock Elevation: Of the 20 squares, 0 nonadjacent squares should be elevated

Guests don't seem to like Binturong aka Bearcat. In a test zoo guests walk to exhibit take a look, turnaround and walk off. Might this have something to with not being a guest's favorite animal? Or a low setting in large pack folder?
-
We're expanding the scope of this pack to be more about sustainability than just windmills and solar panels. I've finished some compost bins that function identically to the compost building except users wait outside instead of inside, since, well, there is no inside.
-
Good to see they already exist. Those are nice and they would fit nicely with these items.
-
Yeah I was just thinking then other day that Vondell already made some great looking port-o-potties. Coincidentally, not a sentence I ever thought I’d need to write out.
-
I found these: Vondell's Portable Restrooms
-
I thought someone had done them???
- Last week
-
Suggestion: Port-O-Potties.
-
That is beautiful! I could see such a thing existing in the real world. And I love the earthy, western style of it!
-
That makes sense. I wouldn't go on a ride at Six Flags twice in one visit. Not normally.
-
Yep you gotta watch that. Leave even a 1/4 tile anywhere round the edge and they will all pile onto it and then be stuck cos they will not get back in the water. It is quite amazing how many peeps the game can trap on a tile this way. Fun to watch when you clear the path to escape. It has to do with swimming being an Attraction. Once a guest has used an attraction it does not repeat it. So once they leave the water the Attraction visit is over so they will not get back in the water.

I think all humans in ZT1 are simpletons, to be honest.

I thought my guests really, really loved this one Swim Shack experience. I then bouy fenced to stop them climbing up the beach instead of exiting thru the shack. I remembered my beautiful yellow & green themed zoo years ago where guests milled around rather exiting the water show area. So I took down a couple squares of floating fence next to the shack. I don't if they were very pruned or very tired but I counted 15 dashing across the sand and taking the exit. Hope they got the right clothes.

Ahem. When in the course of ZT1 events we made great and humorous suggestions. If it was not suggested then I want to do it now; a box to click labeled "Animal too stupid eat." Some peafowl complain even when heaps of food are 1 sq away. I didn't move animal. That is just where the food landed. Dusky Sharks complain a lot, too. Guess poking a shark in the butt could increase employee turnover. Other "favorite" lazy eaters?

Working hard on the backstage props pack and have finished several already. It's actually enjoyable because I don't have to worry about animating anything. I haven't shared everything here so I'll leave some for surprises on release. One thing I wanted to do though was make these idle stacked animal crates so you can stage an area that looks like it's where they prep these crates, but I didn't want to use the sprites from the game because I wanted the shadows to look right when they're stacked. So I modeled one: Here it is rendered: Close enough I think lol. Happy to hear suggestions for backstage props you'd like to see. These are fun to make.

@Zarawatto since you are on here more often can you ping me on Discord whenever they reply?

Some people is right about their criticism on Jurassic Park, but for most of us, this was our first attachment ever around palaeonthology and dinosaurs in general... So, let me do a humble remembrance In memoriam Sam Neill Two dinosaurs I wanted to import since some time ago: Tsintaosaurus Miragaia You might call these two the spiritual successor of SaiLords of Land & Water since they were part of the original idea. I'm probably adding some more and releasing them as the ultimate version of the pack that I swore to and never finished. Until then, happy download. I expect nobody else dies for me to catch some willpower. ZwMiragaiaV1.ztd ZwTsintaoV1.ztd
