From Jay: There isn't enough information for me to say for sure what happened, but I can think of at least 1 reason the Low Hedge Fence might disappear from the purchase menu. By default, I believe the Low Hedge Fence is not available in the purchase menu until December of the first game year. There are many things that change the order of when things become available. So if ztds are added to or taken away from ZT's folders, that can change the order of when things become available. I don't rely on the order of things becoming available. I always have the Developer's Menu available in my ZT. If I need something to be available, I open the Developer's Menu in ZT and click the button to unlock everything. It is also possible to use HaveAllThingsAvailableByJay.ztd to make all things available, including all fences.

I know you do not like hacks but I suggest you put the freeform unlock in your game and see if that brings it back for you. or this one by Jay The one by Jay will also make other useful things available like rubble (as scenery) Still want your ini file too please. Or you could send me the zoo and I will see it either of those work. I am not competing so it is safe to share. Edit: Does not appear till December 1, Year 1 Fences: Electrified Iron Bar Fence, Concrete Chain Fence, Rock Wall Fence, Rock Window Fence, Low Concrete Chain Fence, Low Concrete Fence, Low Plexiglass Fence, Low Rock Wall Fence, Low Hedge Fence.

So currently building a zoo right and I am using low hedge fences to enhance the decorative feel for the zoo So I played and saved (thank heavens) under zoo A as I was not sure what direction I should take the zoo in Keep on playing using said fences saving that one under zoo B Very happy with the result I continue on B where the low hedgefence no longer in the fence menu so I can't buy them anymore I check and double checked but it's just not there so I shut down the game without saving and opened it again Sadly with the same result. So I opened again Zoo A and there it is showing up in the menu .... Any idea how it could have happened that dispise using the fence in ZooB that between Zoo A and B or Zoo B after saving and before opening it again an entire fence goes missing from the menu?

Creating another bird themed zoo but with a twist

So I'm thinking about creating another bird centered zoo but all of the species will be ones that are labeled "endangered", "threatened", or "critically endangered". I'll probably also add some other endangered animals like the black-footed ferret, European hamster, scimitar-horned oryx, bengal tiger, and okapi just too add some more variety. However, about 80% of the animals in this zoo will be endangered bird species such as the red crowned crane, whooping crane, kakapo, military macaw, African penguin, grey and black crowned crane, and more. Well I'm glad to hear you like my mods, for one! I do recommend having a good browse through the downloads area here every now and then. There are a ton of really great and very useful files hiding around even where you might not expect! I would also do a forum search for the phrase "must-have downloads" or similar, I know there's been a few times people have asked all of us and we've all given lists of all of our favorites and what we find useful to build with. Definitely worth exploring. I still find new things to use from the archives regularly. -

I just realized those height-based concrete fences could be used to make what look like buildings. That's really neat, now I have some ideas.

I am working on another new fence, and this one uses some new graphics. It is based on the fences used at Milwaukee County Zoo, seen here for example, except taller. There is a lot to fine tune but it was exciting. Making new fences is a little challenging but very rewarding. I am testing my animals out lots, many seem functioning well but there is more I want to test. You can see my kudu in this exhibit mixed with zebra, wildebeest and gazelle.

For animals I kinda stuck to the earlier designers like Ghirin, Genkicoll JohnT Moondawg Dr Rick Jordan and Coolperson I still sort of need to start playing more with the newer animals But I truly always love the red panda from Vondell and already wìquite a bit from Hawkeye -
Is it just me or does anyone else just really like their mods? Sorry if this sounds weird but a majority of my mods are from those three users because I really like the quality of them in my opinion. Buffzoo's marine megapacks are really cool too. I'm able to exhibit some cool freshwater fish and tropical aquariums. Just a few of my favorite users/designers.

From Jay: The crash is most likely because parts of the exhibit fences for the Expedition Africa2 and Expedition Africa exhibits are 1 tile away from the map's edge. When they eventually deteriorate, ZT would crash trying to figure out how to get a maintenance worker to fix them. Exhibit fences are not needed against zoo walls, since zoo walls can act like exhibit fences and they do not deteriorate. Thank you! Not to brag or anything, but I think I'm getting the hang of building zoos better than when I was a kid. I played ZT1 as a kid before like many years ago and my zoos then looked drab but now I'm getting inspiration from other users like Thunder55/The Checkered Cheetah from YouTube and they're looking very good. I use a lot of foilage fill in (depending on the foilage outside of the barriers of the zoo) so the gaps between exhibits and buildings look better. I also like to group compatible animals into the same exhibit to save space for more exhibits and both guests and animals benefit from it. -
