Steam is just a launch client. Since Zoo Tycoon predates Steam, it doesn't know Steam exists and therefore shouldn't have any of these problems. There is no "steam version" for neither Zoo Tycoon. Still, it's nice to launch the game via Steam if you want to keep organized with your other games. It will also track your play hours if you do it that way.

So I started to play a few games on Steam (much to my distaste for Steam-like sites.) But anyway a buddy of mine said if I start up Zoo Tycoon, Steam will ask me if I want to play the game via their site instead of off the game disk. My question is, if I did that would the game except the free downloads from here? And if so, how would I put them into the steam version.

As I don't suppose Hawkkeye will be back to making more mods anytime soon... has anyone ever made a list of his mods? I want to strategically merge the mods so they can be used on rotation, since they already exceed the game's maximum limits on animals.

Figured I can make a thread to contribute more to the forum when I'm neither building full zoos nor modding. I still haven't finished that Zooberry contest zoo. These days, I just pop in the game once in a while to make an enclosure or two for play testing new mods. First one here is a rather high-effort (unintentionally - I sat down thinking it would be quick and ended up spending a few hours on it) enclosure for Komodo Dragon to play test Serpyderpy's Komodo Dragon recolor. Also testing out some elements of Vondell's upcoming greenhouse set. Some of the plants are from Wolverale's ZT2 imports. Otherwise pretty much everything else is from Tek.

It's fine - I was checking just in case. I will do it when I have more time, then.

It is easy enough to unpack unless you want the paths each as separate ztds. But for all the paths just extract the "paths" folder and the 6 path cfgs. Zip them up and save as ztd. If you want all the files as separate ztds then cricket or I can do that. Especially if others want it as well.

As far as I know this has always been a combined file

Was there ever an *uncombined* version of RDingFT's Emperor Path Pack 2? I would like to reorganize so that the paths and the scenery items are separate files but don't really have the time to go through it at the moment.
