Unicorns disappearing

hello guys and girls, I have a question. My unicorns keep disappearing from the menu. When I open the zoo they are there. But once I've played a while, they are gone from the menu. It doesn't seem to matter whether they are still in the exhibit or not. I just can't put in anymore. At one time I checked and could only place the female version. The male was gone. And a bit later, the female was gone too. Can someone tell me why this is? Does it have anything to do with the research hack?

Do you mean the ingame unicorn or a user made?

Two things I can think of. One is what base map you use. I don't think it works in the kids map. The research hack does affect a lot of things when you save and reopen a zoo so I usually do the research using the game rather than the hack.

The unicorn is an Easter egg so to get it back in the menu just rename an exhibit Xanadu

Aha! That is very helpful! Fern. Thank you. Yes, I mean the in game unicorn. I used the small grassland map, but modified it with the map editor. And it might very well have to do with me saving the game and then it disappears. I will try the Xanadu thingy!
