Guests refuse to visit some exhibits

In my Aussie-like zoo my guests refuse to go more than 5 steps toward the lion exhibit before turning around and heading back. They are missing lion, rhino, serrow, bear, wolves, moose which brings them around to bighorn and elephant. They walk back past animals they have already see and get to elephant by the other direction.

Same problem with the Eurasian animals of bears, leopards, tigers, swan. The walk straight to swan and ignore the other animals.

I deliberately made "circular" paths in each quarter of the zoo to guide guests. I put restaurants and attraction near the more central part of the zoo.

It is bugging me!

From Jay: I can't answer the question since I don't know how the ZT program works internally. I know animals have to be seen in order for the guests to go to them. So the animals have to be within a certain distance. The view cannot be blocked. I don't know how elevation changes things. I don't know if things like zoo maps or exhibit signs change things. I don't know in what way tour guides change things. Although I don't know for sure, I believe strategy guides were included on 1 of the CC discs. I don't know if those guides give more details. For me, I use the exhibit sizes that are just big enough for the minimum number of animals, I use fences that guests can see through, I don't use elevation near fences, and I put single width paths against the fences. So I don't have problems with guests not looking at animals.

I have had a single 'dot' of invisible fence blocking people before and didn't realize it.

Thanks for the info Jan & Fern. It is a little better since I put snack stand near by and guest walk to that.

Oh, well, their loss.

The smileys are great!
