Nature vs Zoo tycoon

Part of the description of the Nature vs Zoo Tycoon hack reads:

 

- The Harbor Porpoise's name will be changed to Dall's Porpoise (FIXED)
- There will be a new animal for the Harbor Porpoise, smaller and plain grey ......

My question is - Is the Harbor Porpoise another Tasmanian Tiger creation?

I think the Harbor Porpoise is one of the in-game animals.  Hm, but it does say that animal will be 'smaller and plain grey'.  I honestly don't know.  I've never used this hack.  Hopefully, someone else can shed some light on this :)

But without checking the internal id in the hack and the animal i cannot tell which animal is being referred too

The hack affects, among other things, what CC calls "Harbor Porpoise". The hack renames the CC animal to "Dall's Porpoise", using a new set of IDs that are in langdallporpos.dll and langZA03.dll. But when that was done, I believe the animal dislikes itself, although I don't remember. Then a new animal was created that uses the CC "Harbor Porpoise" messages.

Yes, Tasmanian Tiger created the Harbor Porpoise for the Nature vs Zoo Tycoon hack. That was one of her early creations, in 2004. That is not the same as her Harbour (or Common) Seal that is at DG (and Tek)

Tasmanian Tiger certainly made some good animals.  I just used her Harp Seal and it is very nice.

I use most of her animals in most of my zoos, I just love them.

I've used parts of the Nature vs Zoo Tycoon hack for years, but never made the connection about the porpoise that was added.

Every time I go thru the downloads, I find an "old" something new!

Does anyone have a copy of this hack with the "langdallporpos.dll and langZA03.dll" files? Or a version they know is latest updated? The download version here seems to be missing files, and doesn't fix the name to Dall's Porpoise

Try the version of the hack hosted here:

This is the version I use and the most recent version of langZA03. It's always worked just fine for me.

 

Make sure you have both ccporpos.ztd and hporpoise.ztd in your dlupdates folder and put langZA03 in the main zoo folder.

 

For the rest of the animals, just pick and choose the ones you like and put them in dlupdates, as well. I don't use all of the other animals, personally.
