(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Thank you Jan. I think Pukkie outdid me.........

fountain Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Fern, Re: Little Boxes song Wikipedia says: Written by Malvina Reynolds in 1962, which became a hit for her friend Pete Seeger in 1963. I have only heard the Pete Seeger version(s). Which artist recording do you hear? (I don't know much about popular and other music that is not on NPR or BBC World Service which often focuses on African bands and musicians. But don't ask me names )
Fern Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 I don't remember who sang the one I heard. I heard it before I was 10 and it stuck in my head. It is just such a fun song. I just went looking for the words so others might know what I was talking about. From the time frame it was probably Pete Seeger I heard. Another I loved from that time (the 60s) was Puff the Magic Dragon
Fern Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Goodness I was just watching The Boxtrolls and they sang a version of the Little Boxes song at the end.
pukkie Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 AlthoughI have put some oldies of our own website up here and I know they have been added back to the database The the :wife: the the :mail: the :panic: the  the :spider: and the vishenka sun seem to be disappeared again. In the fall section this one is duplicate though maybe we can replace that one with one (or more) of these. And then I hope someone knows how to retrieve the blue circling thank you smiley and the reality check is in your mail. Sadly those two I have never snatched... I found one of ZooGrammy's oldies (At least I think it was one of her favourites) and one I really love
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Oh, here is the blue "thank you" . And reality check. Don't know if we have the escape jar or not. By the way, That is me hanging on to the tree in the Oklahoma wind!
pukkie Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 ow how nice ZooGrammy thanks for finding them and no we do not have the escape jar... Do you know I have a similar one trapped in a Christmas ornament?
