I also seem to be unable to view/download any of the animal/dino downloads from the site? It says something about the page no longer existing

Thats what the ZOOT program is for, to properly seat items on the map grid.

So you make your decor item in APE with the menu icons and the images, and save it.

Then go to the folder its in and change it to a zip file, then open ZOOT and seat each view.

The zootek site had to be completely reloaded in 2010. All of ghirins and moondawgs dinos are here in the downloads area.

There are 243 animals in the dino area.

You may want to make a downloads folder on your desktop, your going to have a lot of them :D

Try ZT Studio instead of ZOOT. It offers more features. ;)
