ruben Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Since Avia Hills (all birds) and African animal Sanctuary (all African animals), I started working on a project that I named 'REPTILIS' This building houses reptiles such as Black caiman, Nile monitors, Galapàgos tortoises, Aldabra turtles and western pond turtles. Lets show you around in what is halfway the creation process: The entrance which takes the guests to the animals: Other side + snack area with climbing plants: The guests will first stumble upon the turtle area with western pond turtles: Galapàgos tortoises and Aldabra turtles: Following the cobblestone walls, the guests will see the impressive Black caiman and Nile monitor lizards: As you can see 'Reptilis' is an indoor reptile park. A nice heated sanctuary where reptiles and guests feel at their best. More images will follow soon. Bye! 1 1
(Designer)Vondell Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 stellar work! I love the way you did the roofing. your builds are great.
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 I have been trying to create new buildings with existing materials but hadn't come up with anything this good! Just great ideas. I will enjoy visiting your zoo and see how it progresses.
ruben Posted October 15, 2018 Author Posted October 15, 2018 Welcome to Reptilis! As you may have read before, I decided to make an indoor reptile building. This turned out to become Reptilis. Reptilis houses 7 different species. Let me guide you around. First the guests arrive by car and park nearby the entrance of REPTILIS park. This is the finished entrance of the building. The first three enclosures are dedicated to turtles. First some western pond turtles, then Aldabra turtles (endless thanks to you Vondell) and Galapàgos tortoises. These images resemble to the ones posted earlier BUT the turtles have had little ones! Therefor a lot of (and slightly too many) people pass by. The relaxing guests are very fast interrupted by the sound of splashing water and cracking bones as they head towards the saltwater crocodiles And right at the other side of them, they'll find some rare black caiman Next to the Caiman enclosure, there are the Nile monitors. At first I kept them in a small enclosure, but now they can be in what they deserve. We already came to the last animal of the park: the rough neck monitor lizard At last I'll finish with two overviews of the park AND again a map (just because I have fun making those). Now I have no clue anymore what to design next.. suggestions?? 1

Usually I start with marking out (by using concrete floor instead of grass) the floor shape of the building. Like that I have a clear start. Then I just decide on the hight of the building and shape of the roof. Foliage and flowers are the finishing touch! (ooh and thank you for the compliments).
