(Designer)VeganCannibalism Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Hi all. Since I still just can't figure out why APExp won't run for me, I'm really just wildly guessing what's wrong here. But anyway, I tried it with a clean install of ZT1, and during the installation, I got this error--my disc has gotten a bit damaged over the years, and apparently this file is affected. No matter how many tricks or retries I threw at it, it just can't install this one file. Maybe it's the cause of APExp crashing for me, maybe not, but can somebody possibly send me a functioning copy of this file? If you can't, no worries. :)
(Admin)Cricket Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Are you running the Complete Collection version of ZT1?
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 I have heard of so many who just throw their game disks somewhere on their desk. I always keep mine in Jewel cases. Don't want it scratched. Sorry the mother in me had to say this.
(Designer)VeganCannibalism Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 @ Cricket: Not the official Complete Collection, just the original game with the expansions on another disc. The problem is with the plain ol' original disc. @ ZooGrammy: I see your point. It's not like I toss my things around willy-nilly, but even little things like the case or disc envelope being dropped, something fall on it, or getting knocked over (thanks to my cats, haha) can add up over time. It's the same exact disc I've had since I was a wee lass in '01 and the game itself was shared between myself, my dad, and my sister over the years. But thanks :)

Sorry to double-post, haha. Other than the expansions included and the additional packs (i.e. Endangered Species), what exactly is the difference in the files between the CC and regular versions of the game.
jbl89 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Just download it somewhere from the internet. Since you own the game (keep the discs), I don't consider that to be piracy. As long as you stick to the game(s) you have.
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 The Complete Collection is a lot better!! Just saying
johnztmaster Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 If you haven't been sent the file yet I'm willing to pass it on. :) 1
