Guest rdolphingirl Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I was moving photos from camera to album ... when I got a pop up error from the game ... saying the I was out of hard drive room ... WTH !! ... my HD isn't even half full!!! Can anyone tell me what this means? and how to deal with it please? ... I was able to make a new album and load pictures into it, but lost like 4 pictures due to this "error". Before anyone asks ..... I do not have ANY UCIs or UCAs in my ZT2 game , and never have had any. Thanks! ~Rachel
Xerxes Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Have you checked your hard disk where the zt2 files are ,to see whether it isn't too full ? This could be the cause. Also ,I'd try closing and restarting zoo tycoon 2. I've had the same problem and when I closed and re-opened ,it was gone.
Guest rdolphingirl Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I only have one HD .. and its not even half full ... restarting game/comp didn't work either, since it let me make another album this is now only minorly annoying ... but I still appreciate the reply!
Fern Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 It is probably not your HD that you are out of room on. I used to get that message because I did not have enough RAM to run everything. Each program that is running is using RAM and some use more than others. Have you checked you have the minimum required? You could try this. Make sure you are off the internet and then turn off things like your antivirus and other things that are always running in the background and see if that helps. Just remember to turn them on again before you get on the Net.
Guest rdolphingirl Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Fern, While I have more then the minimum RAM required ( 768 I think it is, running on XP ) ... as I got into playing more again I noticed that I am lagging out pretty bad if I have more then a small zoo worth running. Didn't think to try going offline and turn off stuff like AVG ... not sure its worth it LOL ... just will make more albums and only fill as many pages as it let me fill the first one, that seems to be working. I know I need to add more RAM .. just can't afford to, wish I could ... would like to be able to buy and play with MM2 !! Thanks!! ~Rachel
KTesch Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Fern or anybody else, How do you check what programs you have running in the background and how do you turn them back on in Windows Vista? Kim
