Submitting your ZT1 Creation to Our Database ... Updated 2021/02/01

This topic is for anyone who creates new items for ZT1 and would like to know our policies about uploading creations to our database.

 

When you've submitted something to the database, it will need to be approved by our staff before it will be available to the public.  We do get notifications when something has been submitted.  However, sometimes these notifications get missed.

 

If it's been awhile and your item is still not available, please PM me (Cricket) so I can check on the status for you. 

 

I will make sure your submitted files are previewed by the appropriate people. 

 

 

=>  Tips For Submitting Files  <=

 

First, let's talk naming conventions.  When you name your files, please consider the following:

 

-Instead of spaces in your file name, use an underline _ or capitol letters or a combination of both.  So many of the earlier operating systems do not properly handle spaces.

 

-Add your name or initials to your file name.  This will help minimize the risk of overwriting someone else's files.  This also helps people who like to organize their downloads by creator and/or site.

 

Examples:
TestFileToUpload_clh

GroupProject_SavyKet

 

 

=>  Submit ONE file in .zip format.

 

What should you include in this zip file?

-Your .ztd file
-Screenshot of your creation

-Optional:  A text file (.txt) with a description and/or special instructions, if necessary

 

If you are submitting a pack, please add these items:

-A folder of single .ztd files

-A combined .ztd file  (If you need instructions on how to create a combined .ztd file, there are several different tutorials listed in our Phoenix University section)

 

 

=>  Add your name to the title of your creation on the Submit screen.

Example:  Test File To Upload by Cricket

There may be more than one file with the same title as yours.  Add your name so everyone knows this is your creation.

 

 

=>  Please be patient with us. 

Once we know that your creations are waiting, we will get them tested and approved as soon as possible.  Sometimes real life interferes with us getting them done as quickly as we'd like.

 

 

=>  We will contact you with any problems and/or questions we might have about your item(s). 

If everything looks good, will be announce the new submission when we approve it.

=>  To Those Who Wish To Submit A Working ZT1 Animal Creation To Our Database  <=

 

1.  Download and use the Animal Configuration (UCA) Checker from Zoo Keeper's Lounge.

 

2.  If there are Errors when you check your .uca, you MUST fix them.  Items with errors can cause people's games to crash, so we cannot approve them.

 

3.  If there are Warnings when you check the .uca, it is preferable that you fix them. If you're having trouble fixing them, we will assist you the best we can.

 

4.  If you do not know what a .uca is, please read through Jordan's Animal-Making Über-Tutorial.  It will tell you everything you need to know in order to get your animal creations in working order.
