How do I go about Coverting Animal Plaques to .png Files?

I've always really liked the animal plaques from this game, since they give you a very good look at the animals with their fantastic models by Rapon. Unfortunately, I have no idea as to how to extract these files to view them at their highest quality. From view the game's files, I believe they're stored as .pal files. I've tried using ZooT before but I have no idea how to properly use that program. If anyone could help me with an extraction and conversion process for animal plaques that would be highly appreciated!

You should have the latest version of Zoot (zoot-1-1.zip ) from here. This has a read-me in it with all the instructions you need. Two posts below the download is a tutorial zip as well. The updated zoot also has a "Help" menu as well.
