Marine Mania Shows?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I play Zoo Tycoon off and on and recently the motherboard on the computer I was using went ca-put so I had to re-install the game. I haven't played it in several months and decided to play some. Well I put the Complete Collection back on the computer and commenced playing. When I reached the first Marine Mania scenario I wasn't really worried. Now after playing it for 13 (in-game) months I am beginning to get frustrated. The guests will not go into the grandstands to view the Orca's performance. After tossing several ideas involving ripping out my hair or beating the monitor with the keyboard I decided to ask. What am I doing wrong??? I have never had this problem before.

I will try to show you how I have it set up:

Orca Tank / Path (Which is one tile) / Grandstands

I'm all ears.

Well the sketch didn't exactly work out. But the orca's show tank ends right next to a path and directly on the other side of the path is the grandstands. Has no one but me had this problem??? :uglyhammer:

People have had problems with the shows many, many times in the past :)

First, is there actually a show set up? Click on the show tank's diving board to make sure it's set up. If it's NOT and you need to know how, just post here and I'll walk you through it.

The most common problem with the grandstands is the placement. You have to have your show tank, path, then grandstands with NO space between the three - they have to be touching. The path in the middle with the show tank on one side and the grandstands on the other.

Yes, I have the show set up...lol And that is how I have it. All three are touching: show tank-path-grandstand I started another zoo in the mean time, so I may just fiddle with it. I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong... :fryingpan:

Did you check to make sure that shows are actually running? You have to have a marine specialist to run the show, plus make sure that the animals can access the tank.

Yes. She will get on the platform and start the show. The orcas swim into the tank and start performing. I remember that sometimes it takes the guests a few minutes to get to the grandstands in between the message "A marine specialist will be starting a show shortly in show tank #" and the show actually beginning.

Can you post a screenshot of your grandstand area?

If you can teach me how... :)

If you make a screenshot the computer saves them automatically

When you post a reply click on the browser funtion just underneath the window where you type your message in.

Then browse in your computer to where your game is mostly C >

Then Program files > Then Microsoft Games > Then ZooTycoon > Then screenshots

Dubble click on the screenshot you want to show then click upload funtion on the right to the browser option

Then click add reply

I hope you understand and I wish you goodluck

:254: pukkie! Of course the zoo I was working on currently required me to feature a few marine animals. Just for kicks I added a show tank. Bottle-nosed dolphins on one side and Orcas on the other. And it worked splendidly. The dolphins first show was sold out and a had a lot of grandstands. :vishenka_34: So I will try the other one again. If it does not work then I will post a screen shot. Right now though I am on :032: I'm just ecstatic that it worked.
