(Admin)Savannahjan Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Gosh, I never noticed that feature at all. I'll do a search in the admin panel. Edit: Found nothing in the admin panel. But, at the bottom, below the "Reply to this topic" box, are some icons, including one for Twitter and Facebook, and one of the icons is a printer. When I clicked on that, it brought up text page of the replies, so I guess you could print from there. I then clicked on the "File" tab in IE and then, "Print Preview", which was the concise text of the replies. Ashea, can you see the icons at the bottom? If not, try using a different skin or browser. Let me know how this goes.
Ashea Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 yes I can see the icons and can print to html or download a html. The print preview from there will then work. I just have to it one page at a time, not the entire topic at once. Of course I am dealing with both Windows 8 and IE - one which is still new to me, the other I rarely use. Thanks for your help Jan!
Fern Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I preferred the old print method too. Jan can you change the seach criteria in the downloads area. For example Starbucks. If you try starb or starbuck you get nothing. It seems you now need the complete word rather than a part thereof which would not be useful for members that have spelling problems or can't remember the exact name.
(Admin)Savannahjan Posted August 16, 2014 Author Posted August 16, 2014 Fern, just saw this. I'll see if I can make it more flexible. Edit: changed the fulltext parameter and I did find the Starbucks restaurant when searching for 'star' or 'starbuck'. However, it is giving many, many more results now, pages of them when using 'star'. Most of them don't have star in the title at all, so it has really broadened the search parameter; maybe too much. I'll leave it on the new setting for now and see how it works for everyone.
Fern Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Thank you. Too many is fine as people might find things they had forgotten about, or not known about.
Ashea Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Thank you. Too many is fine as people might find things they had forgotten about, or not known about. be just like browsing the all-fiction section at the library - you never know what you may find.....
Kreek Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Hi All, I wanted to do download stuff for the route 66 club competition but ran into a problem. I can't log into zootek from my laptop. (where I keep the game) I keep getting below message. As you can see I clearly DID put in the sign in name. But Tek says I didn't. I also seem to have lost the smiley section. Both here (Ipad) and on the laptop. Also what I do see of Tek on the laptop is plaqued by adds. I can't see anything. I have logged into Tek before from my laptop and posted stuff in my screenshot topic. I have not changed any setting since then. I tried lowering security settings and popup blockers, but it doesn't help. Hope you can help, because I would really like to help my moosy friends in this competition.
ARIZNANA Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 HI KREEK , THERE ARE SOME ISSUES WITH THE WEBSITE . RECENTLY , I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS EVEN SIGNING OUT . (Admin)Savannahjan Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Hi Kreek, it's great to see you! First of all, Tek is a private site, with no ads whatsoever. If you are seeing ads, it has got to be your browser. What browser are you using? There are issues with Internet Explorer, although since we upgraded our site software, it is better. I would suggest using Firefox or Opera. We have not had any other reported sign in issues, so again, I am suspecting your browser or your internet provider. If you continue to have issues, we can e-mail the files to you. Let us know how this is going.
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Got to defend Internet Explorer, Jan. I have no problems with it or the site.
