Sinking Exhibits

Does anybody know how to sink exhibits in Zoo Tycoon ? I've read it's something to do with the terrrain tools, but they didn't work for me or I didn't use them right.

 

2. If an exhibit is already on flat land, is it necessary to sink it?

Kim, the tutorial on wooded bridges shows some pictures with sunk exhibits and tells what tool to use. You can find that in the tutorial section.

 

If an exhibit is on flat land it isn't necessary to sink it, unless it is a dino exhibit and you are not using dino fence.
