so modern items are nice behind the scenes

Here's these palettes of random stuff that will be in the pack as well

A feed silo:

Also a tall shelf I haven't rendered yet. I'm honestly having trouble coming up with different ways that backstage can be stored for a zoo in a convincing way.

Great ideas thank you! I'll see how I can integrate a few.

Looks like between the ZA Pile Pack, the RDingFT pack and these there will be lots of behind the scenes stuff. Rick did a crane way back too.

Today I modeled a sandbag thinking to make a pile of them on a palette:

But when I rendered it just looked like a pile of seal corpses so anyway that's not happening.

The ingame orca is heavily based on the resident ecotype and those do not eat mammals. If anything that's the great white food instead

I graduated from grad school a few weeks ago and am now chronically unemployed. As such, have been working on a new APE tool, inspired by other tools from before like APE, APExp, Zoot, and ZT Studio. It will combine the best of Zoot and old APE by letting you generate, edit,  and import configuration, as well as let you edit the graphics within the app. You'll be able to add shadow animations, background frames, and eventually I want to have it let you create color swatches and automatically reduce color count for you when you import PNG frames. Ideally you wouldn't have to edit in GIMP at all. I'm calling it APE Studio. Here it is so far:

Current features:

- imports zoo tycoon projects and automatically sorts them by type in a tree structure as shown above
- lets the user edit their project config all within the GUI
- can automatically read in all available lang dll files in the zoo tycoon install folder and let you search IDs from inside of the app

Currently working on improving the lang file browser. I'm trying to get it so you can search IDs and strings from a searchbar and filter by dll file.

Being grad/unemploy newborn was the best time of my early adulthood... Too bad it was in 2020 when the pandemics started... Anyhow...

This tools is what I needed so badly... I have to jump from the limited string edition in APE to rotations in zoot and to batch conversion to ZTStudio HAHAHAH I'm probably asking too much, but if this tool was able to load non-indexed graphs and save them to 256 color pal without exploding, it would be peak! APE already does so, but then you have to go to zoot for rotations xd

Yeah it will be able to convert non-indexed graphics to indexed automatically. It won't complain if it has too many colors.
