fountain Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Have examples/knowledge of license plates financially supporting threatened animals? (Move to another forum if wanted.) "A $41 fee now buys Pennsylvanians a new Eastern-Hellbender-themed license plate - with $15 of that amount going to the state’s Wild Resources Conservation Fund that is working to save the rare salamander and other threatened species." 1 1
Ashea Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Missouri has something similar that benefits the state conservation department - ours will cost your an extra $25 for a year. Money goes toward Missouri's nature centers, outdoor classrooms, stream teams, wildlife habitat and other conversation programs. The St Louis Zoo has a special program breeding and re-introducing the Ozark Hellbender in the state. We also have the Eastern Hellbender, also endangered. 2
