bonobo Posted August 18 Posted August 18 thought someone here might find it handy so i should share https://lumalabs.ai/genie with this you can make a custom 3d model instantly, and download it as a blender file for making the isometric rotations. i've been giving it a try now, it's made absolutely perfect models for aztec style llama statues and mexican gift shops, i'm definitely going to get a lot of use out of it! 1
bonobo Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 these all took seconds, and now i have blender files for all of them. technology is incredible! 1 2
(Designer)Z.Z. Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Can they be made with a white background and no shadows? Cause the ones in your picture need to be cut out to be usable for ZT. 1

bonobo Posted August 18 Author Posted August 18 learning how to use blender for this haha. and for sketchfab, there's so many good free models there!
Goosifer Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Muahaha yes come to the dark side. I highly recommend gamedev.tv's Blender course if you're ever in the market for a course that teaches how to make models from scratch. 1

Goosifer Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Yeah I feel it. There's a high learning curve for sure. Having drawing skills puts you at least 10 steps ahead of most though, I'd say.

Goosifer Posted August 18 Posted August 18 If anyone is curious what Blender is like, this is a great beginner sample. The lecturer teaches how to make an animal from a drawing or picture in Blender: I used the same technique to make the griffin. Also, the lecturer is the one that teaches the Blender course on gamedev.tv: https://www.gamedev.tv/courses/complete-blender-creator 1
