Migration Notes!

Greetings to all our amazing Tekkies!!

 

First, thank you to everyone that was able to donate!  These donations have allowed us to pay for the upcoming migration of our site to another server with more space.

 

We thought we would not have to move, but with the new plan with so much extra space, Tek has to be moved to a server for larger websites.

 

We have some prep work to do before this happens but hopefully we'll be able to start the migration this week.

 

We really don't know how long this migration will take.

 

While it is happening, you should be able to access our site.  However, do not post or upload anything new during this time.  Chances are good that they won't be carried over.

 

After the migration, we will have some post-migration work to do.  Hopefully this won't take too long to accomplish.

 

Once the site is back up and running on the new server, we will be sure and let you all know!!

The site was restored from a backup.  We still have some issues to sort out, so please be patient and always report here if you find something not working properly.  Give as much detail and description as possible.  Thanks!

Glad to see ZTP back up!!!  When it was down, I was like "oh no!!!"

 

Thank you for all of your hard work, Jan!!!  Migrations, while always super important, are always super "fun" (a wild ride never to be forgotten...no matter how much you try!)  

 

I'm sure it's already known that these issues are still happening...but recording it again for anyone that didn't know....

 

The files in the first post of the Wondrous Winter Village contest still aren't downloading properly for me (unless I'm doing something totally wrong...it has been a while!).  It downloads a file, but it's 0KB, even the 4MB file.

 

Also...still can't get into the clubs area.  It tells me that there's a "Configuration or Server Error. Something went wrong. Please try again."

 

And there's still issues uploading pics.

 

We'll get through this!  This is the best community around, so just know that we are all sending positive vibes, full of hugs and understanding!!!
