Truly_happy Posted January 5, 2025 Posted January 5, 2025 Well ... I'm not interested. I was hoping clubs were more than just building zoos, but it sounds like that really is all they are. It's rare that I want to build a zoo, and being part of something where I'm expected to help with that task doesn't sound fun to me. Sorry.
Goosifer Posted January 8, 2025 Posted January 8, 2025 Looks like the board software also got an upgrade! The topic listings are looking sleek. Unless I'm crazy and they've always looked the same.

I was hoping clubs were more than just building zoos, but it sounds like that really is all they are In the beginning of the clubs, we had lots of team activities. Each club selected their theme, name, colors, and also created their own club related downloads. There were also team building games and such within each club. When we would have anniversaries, each club would take on some topic, game, event celebration, etc. There were many people involved in clubs back then. We've revived them somewhat a few times over the years, but many of the club members just drifted away from ZT and Tek, which of course was sad to see. The remaining 4 clubs have very few active members now, but I will never give up my hope that the club program will get going again someday. I think there are 8 club members still participating now. Anyone interested in joining in? 16 hours ago, Goosifer said: Looks like the board software also got an upgrade! The topic listings are looking sleek. We are approaching a new hard upgrade in the Invision Power Board software some time this year, so it's critical that we get everything from the migration squared away beforehand. Many of the migration issues we had to deal with have been resolved over the last 6 weeks, but there is one remaining problem, our e-mail system. I've been working with both IPB and our host to try and get this fixed, but so far.... 3
(Admin)Savannahjan Posted January 13, 2025 Posted January 13, 2025 Well folks, it looks like the e-mail problems have finally been fixed. The board software reps and the host techs had given up and walked away, so we figured it out ourselves by a lot of trial and error. Do please post here if you run up on any further issues. Thanks to everyone for your patience and moral support. Glad to see this challenge conquered. 3
Ashea Posted January 13, 2025 Posted January 13, 2025 So glad to see the issues are getting worked out. Unfortunately rl has raised its ugly head, so i am not able to do any checking as of yet 1

MF217 Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 I hate to ask this out of being late from when most of this was ongoing, but is the migration going to cause an entirely new website to be created? I thought that was the case since that's kinda what the term "migration" implied to me when I heard about this last year. However, clicking on a link to this site shared to me on Discord realized that everything... still appears to be here and functional? I'm a bit confused, but I take it whatever the migration involved, it did *not* mean losing the website in its current form and thus the domain too, aye? 1
Fern Posted February 7, 2025 Posted February 7, 2025 Migration in this case was moving the entire site to another server. It is sort of like moving house in the same area so you take the phone number/domain name with you. The domain name is what the address is. 1
