The mud hack is at ZA in the hacks area.

The other used to be there but isn't any more.

I would be very careful with the tank file as it is an exe. Normally I would get Jay to extract the files because these old exe files often changed other things as well and then the game would have problems. Let me know once you have them so I can remove them.

Thank you. I know of the mud hack but don't quite remember what it does, which does not help when the Zoo Admin thread has no photos....

Yea, terrain blending does not seem to work great with it. Not sure about others' experience or if this is the intended look originally.

The terrain config editor is a mixed bag after I played with it.

  • Pros:
    • Simple UI for those unable/unwilling to edit a config file directly.
    • Creates a new config in your designated folder every use and does not replace the original one in XPACK2. Minimal impact/changes to other files in the game.
    • (bonus) Proves to me that I don't even need to package a tanks.cfg into a .ztd for it to work.
  • Cons:
    • Forces a full installation process for something that could be a portable program, but this could be a product of its age.
    • Forces you to save AND quit the program.
    • Path cannot be edited once set the first time - I tried uninstalling and restarting the program to no avail.

I can edit more quickly and directly to the tanks.cfg, but now instead of packaging inside a .ztd I just leave the file bare in dlupdate.

I have the same problem with the turquoise water. You have to intersperse it with other terrains. I used the snow for that. As I said I think part of the problem lies in the zoo.exe file.
