Search bar mod?

I've gotten back into Zoo Tycoon 1 after 15 years and have discovered the wonderful modding community. I love modding out my zoos, but it gets tedious having to scroll to find a certain building or scenery piece. In order to make building my zoos easier and faster,  is there a mod out there that adds a search bar in the Construction, Adopt Animals, Structures, and/or Staff tabs? Or just a search bar in general?

That would be so helpful wouldn't it?  I hate the endless scrolling myself.  We do have some files by designer Particle called U-Hacks that expands the menu and makes it easier.  You might want to try them here, but I would love to see a search bar in the menus.

There are some new menu filters out there but does mean editing files to use them. I am currently adding them when updating files. While not a search bar it does at least reduce the amount of files you see in the menu.

May I put in a request for a pair of Decorative and Habitat filters for Foliage?

To use these the actual files need to be edited.

So since most of the ZA buildings need updating I am also adding userfood or usergift to those that would appear in those menus.

Some are older - Snow Tigers was a club at ZA way back

Baby Tycoon was for those animal packs

03 CExp was for the ZA 2003 Christmas pack

Wild Wings was for that RSN pack

 

The way I see it there are 2 you could use if you just want to do it for yourself

The foliage purchase menu is already sorted by habitat. Those that cannot be in exhibits will be at the end. Aquatic will be immediately before those. Those that can be in any exhibit will be immediately before Aquatic, with "Many" as the habitat. For foliage made for a specific habitat, ZT's and some user foliage will have a specific background on the purchase menu icon to match the habitat.

As for adding to the purchase menu filters for personal use, "My Favorites" is reserved for that. The "Combined Menu Filter Names" download topic mentions that and how to use it.
