Goosifer Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 We thought it would be fun to make a sort of utility/sustainability pack with solar panels and windmills. All or most of our items will generate passive income when placed. There's no set scope for the pack, but below are the graphics we have finished so far. Names not final for most. (Solar panels) (Medium wind turbine) (Small wind turbine) (Dutch windmill) Credits: - Vondell: solar panels, medium wind turbine, small turbine - Goosifer: dutch windmill Tools: - Blender 5
Goosifer Posted October 12, 2025 Author Posted October 12, 2025 Vertical axis windmill Based on these rad windmills I found on a google search: 5

(Admin)Savannahjan Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 These are gorgeous, I absolutely love them! They look great, and what a dream team! Brings back memories of the LAwebTek/Catfish dynamic design duo. Keep 'em coming, guys. 1

So glad you liked it! Thanks Jan! We've been having a lot of fun. It started as just solar panels and windmills but it turns out there's no end to similar structures that generate energy or passive income. 1
Truly_happy Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Love them all, but I can't see the Dutch windmill realistically moving that quickly, unless Holland gets hurricane-strength winds ... Dutch windmills are for pumping water from swamps or for rolling millstones, if I'm right. All that machinery to power would mean the blades need a lot of force to move at all. Anyway, if you slowed the animation by 50% or 33%, I think it would look better. Other, these are cool!!!

The gif above is a raw export from Blender frames, about 30 frames, which move quickly in the default Krita settings I used. It might still be slightly faster than we’d like ingame, but only because if I dial it down too much it would almost look stop motion. I’ll see about increasing the frame count to improve the speed even more. 1
Goosifer Posted October 15, 2025 Author Posted October 15, 2025 @pukkie hypothetically if one were to have made a dutch windmill, and not saying that one was made, and hypothetically let's say that said windmill has a door that guests can enter, what wonderful Dutch goodies should such guests leave with you think? 1
Fern Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 Well now..... since windmills were used for flour and one of pukkies favourite things is Oliebollen and yes there is an item done for it as Food Eaten And Removed Later
