jbl89 Posted October 15, 2025 Posted October 15, 2025 There's something about the Dutch windmill that just didn't feel right to me for some reason. I googled and youtubed it. It kind of seems the rotating part has been flipped. Look at the actual pictures; as I notice the vector graphics also tend to flip it sometimes. On top of that, the old windmills turn counter clockwise. Things I never realized myself (- my sudden windmill obsession stops here -)

Traditionally Dutch windmills run counter-clockwise while modern windmills usually run clockwise. Vondell’s windmill graphics were finished first so having my (initially) counter-clockwise wibdmill next to his looked off to me, as if the wind were blowing in two different directions. So for consistency I reverse the direction (including blades).

Well the famous dutch kiss statue Tulip Vase Including the bulbs of course so you can grow your own tullips And a windmill snowglobe All from our famous porcelein brand Delfts Blauw Very very dutch and in every souvenir shop in our country thinkable 2
Goosifer Posted October 16, 2025 Author Posted October 16, 2025 That snowglobe goes hard. Okay I'll make that the item it sells. Thank you pukkie! 1

All or most of our items will generate passive income when placed. There's no set scope for the pack, but below are the graphics we have finished so far. Names not final for most. (Solar panels) (Medium wind turbine) (Small wind turbine) (Dutch windmill) Credits: - Vondell: solar panels, medium wind turbine, small turbine - Goosifer: dutch windmill Tools: - Blender A little update on the windmill design: Going to try to wrap up my two things for this pack and the backstage pack before I continue my mexico pack escapades. I had a moment of clarity the other day when I realized I was creating things but not releasing them lol. 2
jbl89 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 It almost makes me think we can select the colors of the mill? 🤔 2
Goosifer Posted October 28, 2025 Author Posted October 28, 2025 Oh man I wish. I truly don’t think I have the skills or patience to pull that off yet 😭If anyone does though, I’d be down to collab to make it happen! 1
jbl89 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 From my memory - I could be wrong in some parts: I think if you wanted an item with *2* different "recolorable" colors, you had to ensure that for instance the green would only be 8 different shades and the brown would only be 16 different shades. Then, in the .PAL file, put them at specific places (and of course your graphic would need to consider this updated .PAL file then). This was one of the features of ZT Studio. 1
(Designer)Vondell Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I have been meaning to study Particle's recolorable scenery pieces and see how they work. Back when we were testing ZT Studio I was never quite able to wrap my head around that. 1
jbl89 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I documented it back in the days: ZTStudio/docs/wiki/How-to-create-graphics-of-which-colors-can-be-customized-in-game.md at master · jbostoen/ZTStudio 3
