So I got a new computer with Win11, and wondered how would Zoo Tycoon modding experience go here, so I downloaded APExp 3.2.

Then I encountered two major issues.

1) Some of the properties are seemed to be cut off, and I have no way to access.

2) Compatibility menu is just completely collapsed.

Should I just ignore these and edit .uca file manually later, or is there a fix regarding this?

I personally recommend using an existing animal as a base template and edit with a text editor like VS Code. Serpyderpy recently wrote a wonderful tutorial that teaches how to do it this way. Much easier and you learn faster imo.

From Jay: APExp 3.2 works in Windows 11 for me. So I do not know what is different specifically. In the first screenshot, the title at the top of the window starts with "A.P.E.xp (english)". That ")" is over the "N" that is in the "New" button. But in my Windows 11, that ")" is over the right edge of the "w" in the "New" button. So it looks like the screenshot is showing that the font is more compressed in that Windows 11 than in my Windows 11. There is no way to compare the font height easily, but I suspect the font is a tiny bit taller in the screenshot that in my Windows 11. I do not know how to change that computer to have the same behavior. Maybe it involves changing the theme. Maybe it involves deleting a font or installing a different font. Maybe it involves right-clicking on APExp.exe, clicking Properties, and changing some Compatibility setting. In any case, even when there are not display problems like that, I feel the uca should be changed in a text editor rather than changing animal settings in APExp or APE.
