Emu by Jeremy Mulldune

Largest bird inhabiting Australia (5.7 feet tall, 110-120 pounds in weight). Flightless; wings are only 1/10th the length of its body. Found on the grassy plains and dry open forests of Australia.

Updated: November 25, 2025 by Jay to fix spacing in the animal info, to link to ZT's sounds instead of having copies, to show the preferred object tooltip for the female and young, to not have the young configured as a jumper since it does not have jump animations, to have it be indifferent to any user made animal based on ZT's ostrich so that it does not stay happy when there are too many animals in the exhibit, to play ZT's ostrich sounds when the animal is picked up and put down, to give ZT more opportunities to see if it was shot by a tranquilizer dart, to play sounds in some cases where it was not but should have been, and to remove unnecessary files and configuration lines.
