Guest zoomeister Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Ever since I have installed Extinct Animals onto my existing profile ( I have ZT2ZC, MM, EA ) I have not been able to use the elevated paths with any success. Guests are constantly falling off of the pathways into the exhibits. Not only are they running around screaming their heads off, so are all the guests outside the exhibit as well!! Then when I pick the guests that are in the exhibits up and put them outside the wall where they should be, I get a mass exodus out of my zoo and my donations are nil. I really love using the elevated paths, they really add to a zoo. What am I doing wrong? Help!!!!!
animalz07 Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 That happens to me all the time. I hate it! I make such a good exhibt/zoo with the elevated path and then guests start falling into the exhibits.
Guest zoomeister Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I've been doing some checking and it seems like you can't put anything right next to the edge of the path such as a bench or binoculars or water fountain. Sigh, such a wonderful program and it being so glitchy. I've also read that turning on and off the guest viewing icon will make them drop off the elevated paths too.
zoohio Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 I had this problem a few times as well. Also, if I place a restaurant or restroom against an exhibit wall, the peeps exit through the back and end up in the exhibit.
Eragon845 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 This problem ruined this cool Everglades exhibit I had with some American Alligators,Manatees,Florida Panthers, and Paddlefish. It was sooo cool! The zoo's rating was 5 starss, but after that happened,it was a mere 1.
Guest MissyS Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Maybe they will adress this problem in the zoo Keepers collection. One could only hope
Rosina's Cat Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 ...scratches head in puzzlement.... I can honestly say this has never happened to me. Unless....its happening all the time and I am just too uncaring about my guests to notice!!! I will have to investigate this at the weekend in my zoos.
Guest zoomeister Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 This had never actually happened to me until I installed Extinct Animals. I never had that happen when I installed MM2. When I went to Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon website and searched the posts there I found out that it actually has been an ongoing problem. Oh, and I see where they have shut down Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon website now that they are no longer actively supporting the ZT series 1 or 2. It might be fixed along with the other glitches when they come out with the Ultimate Collection.
