Zoo Without a Gate

Inspired by some of our designers here, I used the map editor to create the following. As I was putting the final touches to the mountain scene at both edges, my game crashed. I restarted the game, opened the file for this, and found that I could not place anything inside the walls or outside the walls. I get "You cannot place anything out side the walls". I closed the game down, removed the map editor, replaced the editor back in the file, opened the game, and still can't place anything anywhere...As you can see it has no gate in the opening in the walls. Has anyone come across anything like this? I want to finish this...it took several hours to do...I don't want to have to delete this. Help!

Caddie I am unsure that this is the case but the steps being only 1 square away from where you are trying to place the gate may be the issue from the gate to the admission booth I believe there is a requirement of three squares and you may have to have a fat surface of 2 -3 squares before placing the gate. I know that the zoo map I created I had issues with and had to "play with it and it seemed as though I had it figured out but......

anyway don't know if that's the problem but might be worth a try

I know almost nothing about using the map editor, but it sounds like you put the entrance gate in backwards. :(

EDIT: Right... "Zoo Without a Gate"... *^_^* Just ignore me

Caddie, you are really getting to be an expert at designing zoos.

Thank you...Zoogrammy...it means alot coming from one of the designer masters, here!

Exoticcats...the bookstore, the art museum, the inca museum, the rainforest restaurant, and animal adoption center...are the buildings on the mountain...hope this helps.

The problem comes up is that the game won't let me delete or add or change anything with the zoo...went up and down the menues trying to change or place the gate...it won't let me do anything...all images show as red, rather than green...and I get that message...I'm very frustrated about this...I don't want to lose the work I did.

Caddienoah, I am a total chicken when it comes to the game editor, wish I could help. Fern, Brandi, Gem and Marlizdu are really good with it, so I'm sure they can help you sort it out. I also hope you don't lose all your work because it is absolutely gorgeous. :adore:

Also, when I first opened this thread, the building over on the left looked like a big sitting Santa.. ..I think I need stronger glasses. :uglyhammer:

Inca Museum??? Well, just did a search in the Downloads for the Inca Museum and we don't have it here, unless I missed it. Could someone please tell me what it is?

Caddie the only other thing I can think of is that you have inadvertantly created an "exhibit" already in other words youhave some how added a piece of fence that created an exhibit I'll send you a PM with my email address and I'll see if I can help you out with this problem if you would like. Of course I make no promises that I'll be able to figure it out but I'm willing to try.
