Fern Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 This file was released at ZooTek in November 2004 by Jeff It was an .exe file and fortunately has not been released again since the Site went down not long after that time. If you have this file do not use it. It causes id conflicts with files from both ZooTek Phoenix and ZTUF.
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Thanks for the update and warning Fern!
AnewZoocreator Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Two animals here lead to game crashes: the Ancient Bison and the Camelops from the North/South American Pleistocene pack. I have Windows 10, with the latest updates, and use Complete Collection. With several other mods from this site, but those cause no issues (fences, paths, several more animals)... I hope this is the correct thread to report a conflict with files on this site...
Fern Posted May 18, 2020 Author Posted May 18, 2020 Technically they are game crashers as opposed to conflicts. A conflict is usually a same id used for two things and that causes only one to show ingame. As for these two: The checker shows warnings, unformatted animal info, and the following error for both: ***** Error: LCID is set to 4105 but [4105] section does not exist. The uca has 1046, 1033, and, for the Ancient bison, (although wrong) 1036. So if people are using one of those 3 languages, it probably will not crash. But if someone is using a different language on their computer, it will crash. LCID is the language file and each country has a different id for that. I will look at these when I get time.

Thanks for looking into it! I use the German language (and English for most of your files), and the crashes for both animals are a bit different. With the Camelops, just mousing over it in the animal selection menu crashed the game - the program closed, without any error message. On the other hand, I could adopt an Ancient Bison, but when I clicked on the Tierpflegerempfehlungen (I don't know what these recommendations are called in English - where it says things like "Ancient Bison 1 would like some more dirt/sand/gray stone/...." etc.), Zoo Tycoon displayed a "Runtime Error" message and was terminated. Also, the Ancient Bison - despite a normal selection icon - did not have a tooltip beyond something like "$EnergyThreshold".
Fern Posted May 18, 2020 Author Posted May 18, 2020 Where the game crashes indicates what the cause is. When it crashes in the menu it is the actual file. As it says above the animal info is what was not done right. My guess is that Tierpflegerempfehlungen is what we call the animal info.

Tierpflegerempfehlungen is when you click on the animal and, on the bottom right where happiness, health etc. is indicated, you click the rightmost icon - above the happiness, health, hunger and suitability bars.
