Sorry guys. I won't be able to play Zt2 for awhile. The reason is:

I was building my new zoo on Zt2, when suddenly , my laptop turned off by itself. It wouldn't start at first, the fan would attempt to run and then it would shut off. I found that the reason for this is that Zt2 is so large with all the downloads I've installed, it uses up like, all of the memory and shuts off the computer. I uninstalled Zt2, to get rid of user created objects that might be the cause, and then I realized the only disc I have with me is my EA disc, so I can't reinstall the game. So I was thinking, should I buy Ultimate Collection?? Are there any problems with Ultimate Collection?

There have been a lot of people reporting that there was a misprint of the discs in UC. In some of them, the second disc is in there twice, but the extra 2nd disc is labeled as the third.

I don't know for sure if it's been resolved or not, but you can read more about it on the Microsoft website. There's a number you can call if you get one of the faulty copies and they'll send you the third disc.

I know that at least a few people have gotten non-faulty copies also.

Ok thanks! I just did a system restore though, but I am still considering buying UC just so if my game gets messed up I can have it all there. But does anyone know anything about the PC turning off while Zt2 is running?

Sounds like overheating to me.

Make sure the vents on your laptop aren't covered up and there isn't any dust clogging the fans. You also might want to shut down any background processes you have running. More processes = more heat. Your laptop senses when it gets too hot and automatically shuts off to avoid frying the internal components.

Enter your task manager before you play (right click the time and click task manager). Close down any other applications that may be running (especially your web browser) and then head over to the processes tab and shut down anything that doesn't say SYSTEM next to it. About the only things you can't shut down are explorer.exe, tskmgr.exe (it'll close the task manager window), and system32.exe. Anything else is pretty much fair game. If you're running Vista, shutting down desktop window manager can make a huge difference. This process handles the shadows and glass features of the "Aero" theme that shipped with Vista. I usually have to shut this process down twice, but once it's shut down, everything runs faster.

If you're in doubt about what a process does and whether you should shut it down, just google the process and it will tell you what program the process belongs to and if it's ok to shut it down.

Hope this helps. :)

EDIT: Didn't see the other part of your first post. I don't know about overloading the downloads folder as I apparently haven't had that problem yet. Overloading your computer's resources shouldn't make the laptop actually shut off though. I would think that it would just freeze and you would have to reboot. Perhaps I'm wrong. Regardless, shutting down background processes will free up memory and CPU. :)
