pukkie Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Well I am kind a different I am not competitive at all I think it must be fun as well and I don't mind a chellenge once in a while but life is tough enough by itself and I like to ease up a bit with playing this game, Actually it is a miracle that I once joined a club but I most confess that was under the impression you just only build a zoo with a bunch of people It was kind a shock to realise it was for a contest and also has deadlines too
(Trustee)Menolly Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 We will have one later on for the clubs along these lines. It won't be a really large zoo though.
Chickndaddy Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 This is a map of the Caldwell Zoo. It isn't very big. Menolly that would be a lovely idea. Of course there are going to be limitations, there is no way you could build an exact replica of the zoo, but it would be worth a try I think...lol You can also see pics of the zoo in the thread here: http://zootekphoenix.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=1773
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I don't really enjoy doing replica zoos as contests. I have tried recreating the Phoenix zoo, but I enjoyed it because it had special memories for me. Who else would care? They might enjoy perusing the completed zoo, but being told they have to make something so specific is more like a chore than fun. My opinion
(Admin)Savannahjan Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Aw, come on, party poopers! :jester:
pukkie Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Like it matters :fryingpan: Aren't we always following the guidelines like good ZooTekkies?
Marlizdu Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 I too enjoy these types of zoos. I think it is fun to try to replicate a real zoo. I really enjoyed doing Savvy's zoo and would participate in another like it if I have time. The limits of the game is what adds to the fun. Just to see how creative everyone can use the same stuff.
Chickndaddy Posted December 5, 2008 Author Posted December 5, 2008 I thought the was kind of neat because different people in the Zoo Tek community could "host" the competition by having people replicate a zoo near them. And since they have actually seen the zoo they could maybe be a fair judge of who built the closest one. And it would be a neat way to use user-created animals and buildings that weren't originally made when the game was released. These holiday smilies are fun...lol :8_2_102:
