LeopardStar Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I was wondering how it would be possible to increase the amount of benefactors for a zoo. The reason I ask, is that I've never had much luck with them as I only seem to get no more than 3 benefactors per zoo that I build. My zoos are always at least 95% or higher with no unhappy animals and an average of about 10 or so unhappy guests for every 1000. The guests food and rest needs are also nearly 100% satisfied. So I'm not quite sure what the problem is. Can someone possibly help me out please?
ageise02 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I would like to know that too as I have never had a benefactor and my zoo stats are always very high, including guest stats.
Fern Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Genki did a tutorial http://zootekphoenix.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=3112
Guest Caddienoah Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 I've used Genki's system and it works...I had the same problem as both of you...try it...you'll like it! :moosey: :christmoose: :xmasmoose: :anivillage:
LeopardStar Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 Thank you Fern for the link and Caddienoah for the reasurance! :) This helped a LOT!!!
ageise02 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 it sounds similar to how I build already I am currently working on my christmas zoo and my guest happiness has been at least 90 or higher and 98 for animals and zoo rating at 95 I even got the award for 500th visitor but not a single benefactor in the bunch!!!!!!!!
pukkie Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 are there any animals closeby to the entry/exit?
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Alicia, if your guests don't leave the zoo, they won't become benefactors! When you build more on to your zoo, the guests want to see it, so they don't leave! This is both good and bad. Good that they are enjoying your zoo, bad that they're not leaving and becoming benes to give you more income every month. That's why I block off the guests' access to most of my zoo when I'm building, just leaving them access to a restaurant and enough animals to make them happy. They'll realize that they can't get to the rest of the zoo at some point and leave.
(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Do they really realize that Genki? We need to give them brains......... :8_2_102:
LeopardStar Posted December 9, 2008 Author Posted December 9, 2008 Lol! I discovered that my problem was because my zoo was too big and since I had no plans in re-designing it, I decided to take the advice of Genki and name a male guest Alfred H. In no time, I lost my guests, but recieved over 60 benefactors! Thankfully this hack doesn't affect my guest happiness, so it has worked out wonderfully! Thanks again everyone!
