It's not a hack, but an "Easter Egg" that was included by the makers of ZT1. When you name a guest Alfred H, all of the guests you had at that exact moment will be scared away by the birds, with NO impact on their happiness at all. Your zoo rating and zoo happiness will drop for a few minutes, as all of the incoming guests have a happiness in about the 70's, but it will pick right back up quickly. In the meantime, your zoo will have new benefactors, and if there was a problem with overcrowding, that will be gone now  To get the birds to go away, just save and reload your game. They'll disperse quickly (though any guest that was in your zoo when you first named a guest Alfred H will still be running for the exit - there's no way around that one )

I've seen the "Alfred H" egg before...but have never used it...I'm just to kind to my guests...lol...I need to be meaner...(like that will happen ever?)...

I never used it too But that is because I never seen the point in building a zoo for guests and then to chase them out....

It just doesn't make any sense :uglyhammer:

You do make a valid point there Pukkie!

Though, guests do continue to come to the zoo (they forgive easily, apparently), so it's all good in the end :) And on the plus side, you have a ton of benefactors.

There are only two times I will use the Alfred H trick:

1. If I need benefactors

and/or

2. If the zoo is getting tooooo crowded! The animals get really unhappy if they're feeling crowded, so sometimes I chase the guests out just to make the animals happy.

Ah that is just too sweet

Can you lose benefactors? (number decreasing)

Posted

yes you actually can It happened to me before and it mostly happens when the exhibits near the zoo entrance decrease in number of animals or increase in number of unhappy animals

Also when you think ah guest just got in the zoo do not need to be sitting down immediately  they tend to have been walking quite a bit while going to the exit and will be tired if they leave with their beams in the low green yellow or read (in any of the requirements) they won't become benefactors. I one had a zoo that had 273 benefactors but they got overcrowded

and I ended with 124 in the end Not sure if that is related but I'd say it is a signal.
