misty blue Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I had to do a complete restart on my computer due to a few trojans running loose. So now I am trying to get some of my downloads back again and I am doing pretty good except I can't get Ghirin's Steppe Mammoth to download. I waited for several seconds for the download to start...nothing...so I clicked on the link and I couldn't find it. So am I just blind or is it not working? Please help. Thank you. :)
pukkie Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 There is this warning about the size file ****Size Warning***** The file is approximately 15 MB in size Maybe that is the problem why it won't work It never worked for me either but always forgot to ask about it.
Fern Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Because of it's size Ghirin had it at a file storage site. I just went there and the link is no longer valid. Genki or Zoogrammy or someone with broadband may be able to add it to the Tek files or find somewhere off line to add it. I have the file but I only have dial-up and that would take me ages to upload anywhere.
mrspiggy Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I have broadband if it helps. Just let me know how and where to sent it. laura
misty blue Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 Menolly got it to me. Thank you so much. :) I love mammoths... especially after watching that program Waking the Baby Mammoth. I think they are adorable in their own huge way and I can never have enough of them. LOL!
pukkie Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 Thanks Jane That is mighty sweet of you I can now finally snatch it :yahoo:
Guest Caddienoah Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 I am watching the special on the National Geographic channel, as I type...they are such regal animals and the animation of the baby mammoth throughout the show is fascinating...she looks so real...
misty blue Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 Wasn't she so cute sneaking throught the museum aisles? I have to admit I actually wanted to cry when they showed the first close up shots of her and you could see even the tiniest little wrinkles in her skin and her trunk. And thank you all for putting it back up. I never know with this computer...it is about 14 yrs old and it is almost done for I am afraid. So hopefully...if I ever need to download it again it will be to a new computer.
Guest Caddienoah Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Where did the download get placed...did a search...but nothing came up...would like to see it...
