[EDITED AUG. 26, 2009] Problem solved! I modified the .ini file and completed all the scenarios with the list posted in another forum. Thank you, everyone for helping me with this. Tekkies rock! :) barb

I'm pretty good at getting the ratings where they should be but this one is a killer. This has the 15 exhibits, all three types of animals, everything is to be at 93 and comes with the gold path installed. I have the animals at 98 or 99 with most exhibits and happiness at 100. Everything is pitted so there is no chance of an escape and I only have 3 maintenance workers. Guests SEEM to be happy but hovered around 92 for over a year. And the zoo rating has been at 92 nearly the whole time. Restaurants are placed at the place they get tired so they recoup fairly quickly.

Does anyone know if this has a time limit or when you reach it you are done? there is nothing listed.

I did fail to do one thing that helps with my high scores; I forgot to raise prices when guest level reached 100 and now have over 350 guests, and they never leave! they LOVE the zoo! they go to the gate, admire the fountains and turna round and come back in! I'm temped to take them to the ocean and drown them!

Any suggestions? It's pretty tiring just managing and waiting. Should I take out some attractions? I have everything-have been adding them over time, hoping to bump the guests and the zoo that final point.

The last I saved, the zoo was at its usual 92 but the guests were down to 87 and none are tired, hungry, thirsty or need a restroom! they are happy but not enough.

Would you stick with it; I just started year 4, or dump it and start over? It's almost the same as the last scenario and I fear the last one is the same also, just with more exhibits and/or higher ratings. I will be so glad to be done with these. The first time was when it first came out and then the expansions when they did, so haven't done them for years. I'd want to do them, not use a hack, but I do use the money cheat. I didn't the first time through on all of them but now, I play for fun, only this one isn't much any more.

Thanks for any thoughts, Barb :)

Just name one of your guests Alfred H. They'll happily run, screaming for the exit when white birds appear. Yes, I did say happily, it doesn't affect their happiness at all. All of the existing guests will leave, so your guest happiness will drop for a couple of minutes, as new guests enter the zoo (they have a happiness of about 70-75, I think). It will raise quickly enough, just be sure to raise your admission price so you don't get too many guests.

Thanks, I've never tried that. It's worth it after all the work building this zoo! I'll post if it actually helps me finish this. Barb:)

That was pretty neat to see everyone run out-at first I had mistakenly put a period after the H, and then removed it. It only took about half a minute for people to bunch up and start running. I let about 60 people in before I raised it to $100 and then waited to see what happened. Things slowly got better but topped out at about 83 for the guests, even though they had no complaints. I dumped the zoo.

Built another, smaller, only using animals that would accept 10x10 and most live alone. Got the walking down to the minimum. Made it up to 92 for the zoo and 91 for guests. Then it started falling. No one was unhappy with anything -except one moron that was wandering around the far edges. I had never checked before but my guests were coming into the zoo at 62 happiness levels which I think is lower than usual. I fought the ratings up to 92 for the zoo and 92 for the guests and then they started falling. I dumped the zoo when they got to 90 for the zoo and 81 for the guests. Can't figure out why as all the animals were averaging 97 with most individuals at 100/100.

I'll do another with different animals. Never had so much trouble! can't wait for the final ultimate zoo :gaah_:
