Inventive Observation Area Use

I love the lamps and observation areas. I like to use the observation areas to make a gazebo. These will make a very nice one.

Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments. I just love seeing what can be put together to make a new item for a zoo. I was working on making a prison out of the rock fence and windows and using the black Ov Area from Marine Mania for the roof. I also made a church out of the Ov Areas.

Pukkie, I raised the terrain up 4 or 5 in 9 sq blocks to make the top. Maybe more as I really don't remember now. It all depends on the length of the stairway leading up. I create the stairs and lower the squares around the stairs. You need to make the stairs go up straight and have a landing on top then make some stairs go at a right angle from the landing. I don't know that I explained it very well but if you practice, I'm sure you will do it.

Are the Gazebos new or are they ingame Gazebos that are just connected together? I have the Black one called zooGrammy's Rest.

I thought ZG just used the in-game observation areas to make them which I thought was very creative. Perhaps I was wrong...

Yes she used the in game observation area, you'd be surprised what you can make with the observations and fences.

The church that Ziggy made in post #3 is what inspired the Spanish Mission.

 

EDIT: I could put together the 3x3 tile observation areas as one piece that you can place if y'all would like. It wouldn't be hard, and it would make it a lot easier to make the gazebos that way. I could also change colors along the way, such as to make the white observation area match the ones beside them better, that kind of thing.
