Zoo Loverz Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Is there any guide about what animal that 100% compatible with in-game animals ? Like American Robin, Eastern Bluebird that said compatible with in-game black bear.. 100% ? If there are, feel free to delete this. If there are, I hope it'll be made soon..
Fern Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Not currently but I will consider adding it to the Guides area at the Download Directory since there are user made animals at other sites that might be compatible with ingame animals and with other user made for that matter. Several come to mind as I write.
Zoo Loverz Posted November 1, 2009 Author Posted November 1, 2009 Thanks ! But I hope you'll write the 100% one .. not the 99% or less lol.
Fern Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 You will never get an ingame animal to not complain about a user made animal because we can't change ingame animals. However there are animals that will exist in the same exhiit with no problems.
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 What I meant when I said that they're 100% compatible is that the exhibit specifications are exactly the same (same amount of rocks, water, liked foliage, various terrain, etc). Sometimes I can trick the in-game animals into liking the ones I'm making, and sometimes I can't, it just depends on the animal. I do always mention somewhere in the description if the animal I've made is compatible with any in-game animals. Such as: The Burmese Peafowl is 100% compatible with the in-game orangutan The greater and lesser slate-backed peafowl are 100% compatible with the markhor The Pavo Primoris is 100% compatible with the Giant Ground Sloth The Nile Peafolw is compatible with the in-game gemsbok and camel, though they require just slightly more water and a touch of grass. The Ponderosa Peafowl 100% compatible with the grizzly bear The Midnight Blackshoulder Peafowl 100% compatible with the Javan Rhino The Asian Shadowfowl is 100% compatible with the Giant Panda The White-eyed Kenyan Peafowl is 100% compatible with the ostrich (and therefore with other Savannah animals) The Southern Cassowary & Emu are 100% compatible with the kangaroo There are more, but this is all I can think of off the top of my head. Plus, other designers have made their animals compatible with in-game animals, as well.
KTesch Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Zoo Loverz, I think Genki puts whether her animals are compatible with the ingame or not. However, I've walked through other people's zoos that I've downloaded where there have been mixed exhibits and tried to tweak them and one will always be happy and the others won't. This kind of frustrates me, but it sounds to me like there's no way around it. Kim
Zoo Loverz Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 @Fern, so we are able to change the User-made animals lol. @Genki, yes you did mention it. But I just suggest to make it easier to see, as I'm keep forgot which animal with what, =P @Kim, yes it does frustating sometimes =(
Fern Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 @Fern, so we are able to change the User-made animals lol.Players can't but the designer that is making the animal can choose what it likes or doesn't like. So genki, when she makes some of her animals, goes and looks at other ones that it might be nice to see with her new animal. Then she matches the likes/terrain/habitat of that animal.
(Trustee)genkicoll Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 That's right ^__^ I have, however, noticed that it's getting hard to remember which animal is compatible with what Including a picture helps, but you have to go look at the picture. You can click on the animal information tab, but how many players actually look at that (maaan, all that work that no one sees!) I've started putting the info into the description so that when you hover the mouse over the animal in the purchase menu, it will say right there. And yes, Sally, I know that you're one of the few people who actually look at the information tab
