Woodstork Question....

Okay, so I downloaded the old American Woodstork from our DL section, and all I get ingame is an animal just called a "Stork", and on its info panel, it shows a picture of a White Stork, not a Woodstork.

The woodstork by Ryno and LA? I never even noticed that it only says "stork" when you place it. They were probably allowing for creative interpretation when you place it. I've been here for... 4 years? 5 years? I lose track  LA had already withdrawn from the site by the time I became a member, and Ryno only pops in now and then, so I don't know what to tell you about the coloration.

The woodstord was a very early animal creation by Ryno when he was very young and just getting started. I believe he did the initial work and then LA looked over the item and made some edits. The menu picture and title were most likely just missed details when it was released. After all the great animals we've had added throughout the years, the woodstork is still one of my favorites, maybe because it was from our early days.

There's no problem with the download per se, the zoopedia is totally wrong. The Wood Stork is a New World species, the White Stok which is show is exclusively an old world species.

The Zoopedia needs to use the pic I have attached and if possible the description should be changed to his

"The Wood Stork (Mycteria americana) is a large American wading bird in the stork family Ciconiidae. It was formerly called the "Wood Ibis", though it is not really an ibis.

This is a subtropical and tropical species which breeds in much of South America, Central America and the Caribbean. The Wood Stork is the only stork that presently breeds in North America. In the United States there is a small and endangered breeding population in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, along with a recently discovered rookery in southeastern North Carolina. On the other hand, in Santa Catarina state (Brazil), its decline seems to have been reversed: after an absence between the late 1960s and the mid-1990s, the species is now again regularly encountered there, in particular in the Tubarão River region. It is likely that the Paraná River region's wetlands served as a stronghold of the species, from where it is now re-colonizing some of its former haunts. Globally, it is considered a Species of Least Concern by the IUCN due to its large range."

It will then be correct.

All I;m trying to say is that it's just called a stork, while it should be an American Woodstork. I will go edit it APE and put in that picture and information.

Do not use APE as that will totally mess up the uca configuring. Unfortunately APE does that.

You can edit using notepad and zoot safely
