maximum411 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 So I have been editing some African wildcats I've been making, and then when I did a test run of them, I noticed that they never move around and will allow their hunger levels to drop to 0 without even going to eat food when it is available. What could I have done wrong? They can move under some circumstances. For example, I bought a new wildcat and put it in a separate enclosure and it began to run around, but the ones in the enclosure with the food don't seem to move. Any suggestions?
Fern Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Have a read of the tutorials both here at Tek and over at ZKL on uca editing.
maximum411 Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Have a read of the tutorials both here at Tek and over at ZKL on uca editing. Unfortunately, I've already read these and couldn't find anything relevant to my problem. The strange thing is, I'm pretty sure I only changed things like cAnimalDensity, the min and max animals, and the happiness change as a result of too many animals. Another strange thing is that no matter how hungry they get, their happiness and health does not decrease. Could this have to do with their not seeking food?

Everything you need to know should be in those tutorials. You need to start at the top and work your way through them. There are lots of things that need adjusting because Ape is so inefficient and flawed. I can't help much since I have worked on animal for some time.

That's alright :) However, there are lots of things in the UCA that aren't covered by the tutorials, unless I'm missing something... there is only one page of the UCA tutorial, right?
Fern Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 The ZKL one was writtne or the original ZT before the expansions. Not sure about the Tek tutorials. You should compare the uca to the nearest ZT animal type. Look for the latest ai files as many original animals were updated in the expansions.
