(Trustee)ZooGrammy Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I like your Savannah area very much.
Guest cell007 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Thank you for responding - and wonderful new screenshots - I agree with ZG - your savannah area is astonishingly beautiful!
Firehawke Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Love the kangaroo exhibit and the leisure area!!! You are a master zoo builder!
barbinflorida Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 This is an amazing thread and a fantastic zoo. I think you have a wonderful eye for design. I also think your leaflet would be an excellent example to show a zoo to get hired to make a new one for them. I am inspired to try one of my own with this amount of detail. I am curious about the stick observation shelters I see in the exhibits, like the African buffalo. what is used to make that or is it a special building? I have searched and cannot find anything like it. It appears the guests can go inside. thank you for sharing this wonderful zoo!
MaTT² Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Thank you all !! I'm glad to see that my first climatic area has such good opinions ^^ I got many ideas for the next ones, I downloaded so much objects, animals, buildings .. I think I won't have enough space for all that I want to do .. :whistilin: Barbinflorida : for the stick observation shelters, I simply used the wooden observation post, putted face to face and playing with the slope of the roof to create a kind of shelter for the guest, so they can observate the animals quietly :-) Here's the first attraction, for children : The Oasis Merry-Go-Round I only changed the color of the building in brown and yellow to keep a graphic theme (also present in my guide). I created a small water point around it, with palms and water lilies to represent the oasis as landscaping :-) Hope you like it !
Firehawke Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I love seeing how the different colors look! I hate it when I run out of space before I'm done...good luck!!!
MaTT² Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 Indeed Firehawke ! I had this problem with my last zoo and I felt very frustrated, I even looked for a way to extend the map, trying to modify the game files but not possible ^^ So, here are some news pics for the leisure area, I named it Akwaba ! which means "welcome" in a Ghanaian dialect. First, the Samburu, an african restaurant to taste the spicy and sweet flavors of Africa as roasted quails with hot pepper, beef with gombos, banana foutou, injera bread, karkanji drink, benachin rice, chicken mafé .. (I got an african restaurant in my street, all those meals are real and sooo delicious). Just near the Samburu, a cotton candy stand for children ^^ Then, the Insect Kingdom, where guests can discover beetles, termites, ants, butterflies, mantises, spiders and scorpions (I also changed the color of the roof, as for the merry-go-round and the WC buildings) : This is the Masaï handicraft center : here guests can make traditionnal fineries and embroider some tissue dyed with red ochre, and also buy some traditionnel Masaï objects in the the building's fair shop : Last screens in the next post, I finished the third leaflet and now start a zoomap ;-)
Firehawke Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Beautiful job! I love how all of the buildings fit in with the theme! Can't wait to see the third leaflet and the zoomap!
MaTT² Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 Yes, I try to keep a kind of homogeneity in this area, especially with the colours. It will change for the next one ;-) Here is the Waystation Wallaby Lodge, where guests can discover the australian wildlife and the Aborigine legends, as the Dreamtime and an initiation for didgeridoo .. I really love the look of this building ! Other view from the Lodge : And to finish the Akwaba area, this is the Masaï Village. I imagined it as a small village where guests can spend the night, as my zoo is becoming an attraction park. So this is the first accomodation, there will be one for each climatic area, each time based on a special theme :-)
