Last animal for the Prairie Area !

 

Exhibit n°23 - Swamp Deer (Cerf des Marais)

 

Males : Au Batido, Bençao

Females : Meia Luna, Qeixada

 

As they come from Brazil, I named them with capoeira's movements. The exhibit recreates a flooded meadow from South America (Pantanal National Park, Mato Grosso, Brazil) with reeds, water lilies and willows.

As you can see, the river coming from the exhibit joins the water point in the buffalo's one, and then pours in the new leisure area (screens next week).

These shots are fabulous! I love this area, you did a great job with the rock wall pieces. Also love the swamp deer exhibit, the way the water weaves around. This is such beautiful setting. The guide is amazing as usual, so professional.
