fountain Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Any problems with operating ZTCC on Windows 7 that I need to know? My son is planning to use a cable connection to transfer files to the "new" (refurbished) computers and I am buying flash/usb drives to store ZT files to safeguard them.
ARIZNANA Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Any problems with operating ZTCC on Windows 7 that I need to know? My son is planning to use a cable connection to transfer files to the "new" (refurbished) computers and I am buying flash/usb drives to store ZT files to safeguard them. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS COMPATIBILITY . AND THERE IS A SETTING FOR THAT ON WIN 7 . YOU CAN PICK WHICH WINXP YOU USED BEFORE WHEN ZTCC WORKED WELL .AND SET IT FOR THAT . ANOTHER OPTION IS : I HAVE A VIRTUAL MACHINE INSTALLED ON MY WIN 7 . I INSTALLED WINXP ON THE VIRTUAL MACHINE AND ITS LIKE HAVING TWO SEPARATE COMPUTERS . I CAN GO BACK AND FORTH AND TRADE FILES FROM ONE TO THE OTHER WITHOUT A PROBLEM . I DO NOT WORRY ABOUT WINXP BEING DROPPED BY MICROSOFT . PERSONALLY I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES . MY GRANDSON HAS A DELL WITH WIN XP AND ALSO AND WE DONT PLAN TO CHANGE HIS . I HAVE NEVER USED WINXP SECURITY UPDATING . IT CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS THAN IT HELPS .
Firehawke Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I haven't had any trouble at all. I have 7 on my laptop and I installed ZTCC on there. Good luck!
fountain Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 So far so good. But I totally forgot to save my dls for my latest game and the game itself into a separate folder! My beautiful and happy animal zoo is along with the screenshots of it. And I am suffering food poisoning from my teenage daughter undercooking turkey burgers. Misery.
Firehawke Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I hate when that happens!!! If you're transferring to a new computer, is it by chance still on your old computer? Good luck! And good luck with the food poisoning!!!
fountain Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 It probably is. I had not thought of that! I'll try accessing it when I am feeling better.
