Next to them is a climate featuring another temperature extreme...tundra! This area features the King and Emperor Penguins





One last area, featuring a bridge with a lovely view...the boreal forest! Birds in this area are the Trumpeter Swan and the Common Raven





Miss Aderyn even hired a local helicopter pilot to take her up so she good see her garden from above (who said that she's too old to go on a little adventure!) and she wanted to make sure that you saw this picture before you left.

With the new bird badges over at Feral and birds on the brain from working on the contest, I present the next addition to the SOC zoo...a place to Appease your Appetite with Avians (I'm big on alliteration :P)

Leading up to the restaurant, there's another restroom...


The AAA restaurant is spacious, with views of three different exhibits...







Animals that can be seen include the Southern Ostrich...

And if you are lucky enough and fast enough, you might catch one of the bald eagles in a tree!

Just found out that my Feral contest entry from last month (Miss Aderyn's Bird Sanctuary) got third place!

 

Haven't even started on this month's yet. By the time I figured out what dls I wanted to use, our heat wave started and it's been too warm to use my laptop for any length of time
