Ok thank you all so much for the help, I'll definitely look into it
-
Check out this page: Tutorials If you scroll down a bit, you'll see several tutorials from different members using different techniques. Hopefully, one of those will help!
-
Yup. As long as you do not mess with the .ztd content, the name of the sole file is not a big deal. Try this thread if you still have any doubts
-
Well that's unfortunate, but hey I'll look forward to whenever someone will mod in the Rebirth dinos into the game
- Today

So say I make a folder/combined file called "Buffzoo" and I would just combine everything by him and it would still work? Forgive me I'm still a bit new to how ztds work.
-
It goes by yourself. I merge them by author when I gather several items from the same creator and lesser categories like fences or scenery for miscellaneous creators
-
Ok, any tips for combining them?
-
Ok clearing some out seemed to do the trick, I'm guessing Combined files are the best way to go
-
If you open /dlupdate (if your OS is Win11) the bar at the bottom displays the quantity of files inside it. ZT supports a max of around 300. Above that number, you better start merging them
-
Admittedly, there's some files I've been meaning to clear out
-
A lot of them, like I literally lost count
-
How many single files do you have in your /dlupdate folder? This seems to be the error due "file overload"
-
So I tried downloading these guys via the Google Drive, and aside from Euoplocephalus, all of them seem to crash the game. Specifically when trying to load a previous file it would say "File not found" and if I tried to play a scenario or freefrom it would crash the game. The same thing happened with Steppe Bison as well, any chance you can fix these files?

Sadly, Buffzoo said at their FB page that they were quitting modding since it was the point it was fine with all they wanted to craft... However, there are more of us who might take the wishlists 😉😉
- Last week

Anyone know if Buffzoo is planning to make more Jurassic mods in the future? I would love to see a JDW Therizinosaurus mod as well as mods of Rebirth Titano, Rebirth T-Rex, Rebirth Mosasaurus, D-Rex, and/or Mutadons

ZZc Paths - Ground Cover Path Pack by ZZ and Cricket

I found this effect by accident last night. I basically was putting algae from here over water and didn't realize I had a block of aquatic ground mix from this pack underneath it. I decided to play around to see what the other ground cover paths look like with it and found some cool effects. Here's some of the ones I've tested that I like. The other pics are it in use with rainforest restroom/attractions areas.

Terrain Rock Formation Pack by Cricket has been updated. Updated by Cricket on April 6, 2026: There was a conflict between the internal IDs for the Saltwater Rock Formation and Genki's Brick Sprinkling Pool from the Brick-themed Expansion. I changed the internal name and directory of the Saltwater Rock Formation so that the conflict no longer exists.

Indian Peafowl (ZTU) by Willie T has been updated. Current ztu_indianpeafowl.ztd dated 20 July 2026 Updated July 20, 2026 by Jay and includes some changes made by Jordan in 2007. This was updated to prevent the animal from disappearing sometimes when rotating a zoo, to make the sound file smaller without changing how it sounds, to have the sound play as often as intended, to adjust the spacing and punctuation in the animal info and animal tooltip, to have images without backgrounds for the animal list window, to allow the animal to appear in the purchase menu for the MM Kid's Map and zoos based on that, to have the preferred object tooltip match the preferred object image, to have females move at the same speed as males, to give ZT more time to check if a tranquilizer dart hit an escaped animal, and to remove duplicate images and unnecessary files and configuration lines.

White Indian Peafowl by Genkicoll has been updated. Updated July 23, 2026 by Jay to prevent the animal from disappearing sometimes when rotating a zoo, to have all views of each animation use the same animation speed, to show the appropriate animation of the female when it lies down and stands up, to make the sound file smaller without changing how it sounds, to adjust the spacing and punctuation in the animal info, to add an image of the young for the animal list window, to allow the animal to appear in the purchase menu for the MM Kid's Map and zoos based on that, to have the preferred object tooltip match the preferred object image, to have young sometimes move slower than the adults, to give ZT more time to check if a tranquilizer dart hit an escaped animal, and to remove duplicate images, unnecessary files, and configuration lines.

From Jay: Krimmsun created a Sky Blue Triceratops and Gold Triceratops. I'm not aware of anyone making a triceratops animal that likes snow. The "Easy Animal" hack makes ZT's triceratops like all terrains, but I don't know how well that works. A Triceratops Ice Sculpture was in a 2003 Christmas pack. Krimmsun made other animals that like snow: Himalayan Gemsbok, Arctic Fox, Red Bellied Penguin, Mountain Tiger, Artic Tiger, Artic Camel, Artic Bison.

Jay and I both have them somewhere in our archives. I think they were at emma and mels. I will have to see if I can find them. Plus see if they need fixing.
-
From Jay: Yes, I can see that (the thread), but I don't understand it. It looks like she is saying she accidentally saved a zoo with a wrong name. But I doubt that is the case, since all one has to do is rename the ".zoo" file in the folder. If she is saying she overwrote a zoo with a different zoo and now wants the zoo she overwrote, that can't be done since it would be overwritten. Any overwritten file of any type can't be restored except from any backup done. From me: when saving zoos I often add a letter or number to each save so if I mess up I can go back to an earlier version.
