Wow!!! So many details!

The always-gracious Cricket managed to expedite my submission in record time. A new update for the Dinosaur Digs Combined Realism hack is finally out over 5 years after the last version (or 6, depending whether you count submission date or available date) and 11 years since No Grass, Please 1.0 came out. The changelog displayed on the download page is a heavily truncated version. The actual changelog is longgggg. I literally made two extra text files in the zip to detail all the information I want to put out. I know some users have customized the mod to their preference over the years, so I wanted to write out as much of my rationale as possible to aid future customization or maintenance efforts. The bulk of the update is on the foliage: more information and more compatible foliage for you to customize your Dinosaur Digs exhibit more freely. The core philosophy to maintain backward compatibility still remains the same. The biggest milestone is probably in the new extra files and what they do. I have not fully thought out how I want these extra files to be hosted. They are currently bundle in the same zip with v1.3, but they might end up being distributed separately later. The first is also my first lang file ever. P. rex had this ambition of including the temporal range in the long text tooltip for all plants under the Dinosaur Digs filter very early on No Grass, Please (NGP). I finally pull that off with an override lang file. The final version ends up being rewritten to allow more cross-compatibility without erasing original tooltip message. The neat part is that since it only adds information to existing official items, it is completely optional. On the same note with lang files, Borsato lang and ui99 are no longer bundled in this pack. They are finally hosted properly elsewhere, plus Jay recently updated the lang file too (currently on Zooberry, but another source should be around soon). Some of you may have also noticed that I got permission from P. Rex to repackage and make a mirror of NGP v1.5 on ZooBerry recently (Tek's version is 1.0). The new mirror includes smaller files split into different elements of the pack for those who only want part of NGP. There are some quirks and incomplete works existing in 1.5 that I have addressed early into my version (see the first pages of this topic). I decided to include a specific, lightweight "NGP patch" file addressing issues affecting gameplay that you can use if you prefer NGP over the combined hack.

Dinosaur Digs Combined Realism Hack by VNDragon has been updated. Updated by VND on September 20, 2026: V1.3 Patch notes (Sep 20/2026) Over 6 years since V1.0! This is the most extensive update so far. Many plants can now be placed on water or submerged in tanks for flooded forest builds. Long text tooltips denoting geological age range for official foliage in the original "No Grass, Please" (NGP) can finally be injected using a new lang file (lang660-PlantEra-override). The text is under a new formatting so it's not a 1:1 reproduction of NGP, however. Heavy revisions on naming, inclusion, locations, time periods, and tooltip texts for many foliage. Credits to Dakota for doing some groundwork on foliage stratigraphic range. Vondell granted me permission to edit and bundle the non-habitat versions of their NGP plants. For detailed notes on these changes, please refer to the long-form note within the .zip file. Expand animal's object preferences (e.g., Lambeosaurus can accept highland items now). More powerful herbivores. Place some small carnivores or delete their fence to find out. File bundling Include a special standalone file that updates icons and fixes some unintended issues in "No Grass, Please" v1.5. Use it if you prefer playing with NGP instead of the combined hack. Remove Borsato's ui99 & lang files, now that they are officially hosted, maintained, and updated elsewhere.

I know he did it, but it is one of my fav dinos since I'm a child, so I wanted to do my own version of it

Hi again 😉 Borsato has already made a Cryolophosaurus in Dino Danger Jurassic, that is why I didn't say anything about it. But I definitely see its 'haircut' now 😁 Nicely done 👍
